Great BJJ club for kids. The coaching is well balanced between fun and serious. Both my sons attend on a Wednesday and love it. Good way for them to get fit and strong that isn't another football club!
Heard about it through a friend, and my daughter tried a free 1st session and loved the session ran by Matt & Lorena - they are fun and encouraging. Location has good parking, seating for parents and toilets all of which well maintain.

Matt & Lorena are fantastic. Our children love the weekly class they attend. The class is balanced really well with plenty of fun but also learning and discipline. The studio is kept very clean and tidy with seating for parents and toilets.
We've been taking our son to Peak Jiu Jitsu for the past two years, ever since he turned 5, and it's been an absolutely transformative experience for him! He's built so much confidence, discipline, and physical coordination through their BJJ classes tailored for kids. Matt and Lorena are phenomenal, patient, encouraging, and experts at making learning fun while emphasising safety and respect. We've seen our son go from shy and hesitant to eagerly rolling on the mats with other kids, earning stripes and belts, and beaming with pride at every milestone. The Dojo is clean, spacious, and well-equipped, with a welcoming vibe that makes families feel right at home. Kids and parents are also supportive and friendly. There is a flexible scheduling, Wednesday and/or Friday sessions, which help us when having busy weeks at work. If you're looking for a top-notch martial arts programme in Stafford that nurtures young ones both mentally and physically, Peak Jiu Jitsu is unbeatable. Five stars all the way and we couldn't recommend it enough!
Matt and Lorena are simply the best people, not just the best coaches. They genuinely care about each and every child. They are passionate about jitsu and try their best to embed the right skills in the children. One example - we had an incident in school. I asked Matt to help talk to my child about how to deal with such incidents in future and use his jitsu skills to protect himself and his friends, whilst being careful. Matt took time out from his next class and explained to my child about tips to defend oneself without hurting others. What warmed me the most was how Matt started that conversation. He said "first of all, well done for standing up for your friend. That's courageous of you. " It was a great learning experience for my child. Generally speaking about the benefits of Peak jjs classes - My son has been going to this class for over a year now. He loves it and it's one class that he rarely misses. Jitsu has helped to boost his self confidence significantly. It is also helping him to learn how to defend himself - a crucial skill to have these days.

A distinctive aspect of their training methodology is the emphasis on positional sparring from the outset. This approach, even at moderate intensity, ensures active learning and engagement, contrasting with traditional methods that separate drilling and sparring sessions. This innovative technique fosters continuous involvement and adaptability across different positions, which is crucial for high-intensity sparring. The members are welcoming and skilled, creating an inclusive and supportive training atmosphere. Although my time at the gym was brief, I am grateful for the hospitality and the enriching experience:). Posted 2 years agoI took advantage of the free trial lesson and was really impressed! Peak JJ is easily of the nicest gyms I’ve been to, the instructors and the team are all very welcoming and make you feel at home straight away. The instructors are experienced and take care to explain everything in a really simple, easy to follow way (regardless of your experience level) and the other members are just as friendly and happy to help. It’s a great environment to train in, there’s lots of natural light, fresh air and mat space, which you don’t often get at other places. Whatever your experience/fitness level, I would definitely recommend trying this place out!
