I met Master Paulo de Tarso in 2012 in Panama, and in 2015, I had the honor of becoming his student. As someone who already practiced martial arts, I understood the importance of respect and discipline, but it was on his mat where I truly learned to apply them not only in sports, but also in my personal and family life.
As the Master says: "Training Jiu-Jitsu teaches you a lot about yourself and strengthens both the body and the mind." And I can attest to that.
His methodology was just what I needed: demanding but deeply rewarding workouts. His warm-up routine—one of the best I've ever practiced—challenges you, stretches you, and, above all, transforms you. It's not easy at first (getting into rhythm and cardio takes time), but when you start to see the positive impact on your health, you know every drop of sweat was worth it.
Thanks to his teachings, I not only improved my physical condition, but I also learned to better control my breathing, stay calm during role-playing, and transfer that mental discipline to other areas of my life, both personal and professional.
Master Paulo de Tarso is not only an excellent Jiu-Jitsu instructor; he is a great human being, committed to developing better people on and off the mat.
I am proud to be his student, his publicist, and his friend.
Today I joyfully celebrate the opening of his academy in Canada, a dream come true that I am sure will impact the lives of many, just as it impacted mine.
All the best to you, Steph, Kimbo, and the newest member of the family, Boni!
Dreams do come true! #Oss
