Joined Oswestry Jiu Jitsu Acadamy on the beginners no-gi training program 3 weeks ago. As i was a complete beginner in BJJ i was nervous to join but Coach Karl and the other lads made us all feel very welcome. Great place to train, quality and clean environment. Would recommend OJJA 10/10.

I started training at OJJA as a complete beginner about a year ago and enjoyed it from day one. The club is really friendly, the coaching is amazing and everyone helps each other out. Even when you are new you feel welcome and never out of place. It has improved my fitness and given me something I actually look forward to each week. If you are thinking about starting BJJ or just want a good place to train, I would definitely recommend OJJA.👍

After spending a year at Oswestry BJJ, I can confidently say that it is deserving of 5 stars. Karl is a great teacher who is highly experienced in both jiu jitsu and kickboxing, giving great lessons and techniques to experienced athletes or beginners. Overall, I can say wholeheartedly that this place deserves its praise.

Would recommend this club. My son really enjoys learning jiu jitsu here and has come on so much since starting. The coaches are professional and friendly. They have given him so much confidence in the sport.

Absolutely love this Jiu-jitsu club! The lads are unbelievably friendly. It was daunting walking in to a Jiu-jitsu club for the first time, but everyone made me feel welcome immediately. I'm only 10 weeks in, would absolutely recommend Oswestry BBJ for any beginners looking to start. Clean, friendly and professional 👌

Amazing place for teaching beginner and intermediate levels of martial arts, the owner Karl who teaches BJJ and Chris who teaches Muay Thai are down to earth who thoroughly guide you through each technique step by step. Whether you’re a beginner or at an intermediate level, this place is like a second home. Muay Thai is a combination of both pad work and sparring, whereas BJJ is technique then some rolling at the end, everyone who attends is friendly too, you’ll meet lots of similar people. Highly recommend this place, Karl and Chris will show you there’s levels to martial arts.

What an incredible place!! I’ve been training at OJJA now for just over 4 months, I started taking my 3 young boys and whilst I’d never done it myself, I understood Jiu Jitsu would be a great life skill for them to have. Very soon after the boys started, I got to know Karl and the other coaches, I initially had no intention of doing it myself, but felt at ease enough to give it a go. I started training and quickly fell in love with the OJJA gym and member community. Jiu Jitsu is a great way to get fit, learn self-defense, and build confidence. I’m so glad I was encouraged to give it a go. The coaches at OJJA are amazing. They are patient, knowledgeable, and highly supportive. I cannot recommend OJJA enough!!

I have been training at Oswestry Jiu Jitsu Academy for nearly two years now and I cant speak highly enough of Karl & the club that he has created for all of us. Karl has brought in a wrestling coach for the benefit of us & also has a kids class on the weekend which I help out as my son attends. OJJA prides itself on its friendly and welcoming atmosphere, where both beginners and experienced practitioners can train in a safe and supportive environment. The classes are well-structured and cater to the needs of individuals of all ages and skill levels and I can vouch for that as I that person who was nervous when joining. For kids, OJJA offers a dedicated kids' program that aims to teach children important life skills, such as discipline, self-confidence, and respect. The classes are designed to be fun and engaging, and Karl uses age-appropriate teaching methods to ensure that the children enjoy learning and remain motivated. My son attends the classes, loves everything about the class and the environment Karl has created. For adults, OJJA offers a range of classes, which includes fundamentals, and advanced technique based classes. The classes are tailored to the needs of individuals, and Karl is there to provide one-on-one feedback and support to help students achieve their goals. Some individuals including myself regularly compete in competitions around the UK which Karl comes along and supports everyone. If you're looking to train, get fit or just have fun, there is no better place than OJJA!
