I dropped in here for jiujitsu while visiting family in town. Everyone was very friendly, and the coaches all but gave me a private lesson during the rolls. The overall atmosphere was very welcoming, and folks took their Jiujitsu seriously.
Posted 8 months agoMy Son did Jiu Jitsu at this gym and we have nothing but great things to say about this place. The staff is extremely professional (especially Marcela) and knowledgeable. It’s clear that Alliance Jiu Jitsu is a community built on discipline, respect, and encouragement. The atmosphere is always positive, respectful, and focused on growth both on and off the mats. Our family does other youth sport activities and this place is different. Thank you to the coaches: Damon, Alex, Logan and Rafa.
Posted 9 months agoBeen training bjj for around 2 years at different gyms, but no other gym comes close to being as good as alliance Greenville.
I wrestled in high school and wanted to get back into grappling! I was able to book my first appointment online with ease. I had my first two sessions with Logan. Logan was very kind, very attentive, and patient. Did an introduction group class after that, and signed up the same day. The fees are really affordable, and the schedule is very flexible. I work a full time job, and there’s always at least one class I can make it to Monday-Friday.
This is an amazing school, one of the best I’ve ever seen. The curriculum is well thought out. Very professional. The kids classes are big with lots of different ages and levels. My son loves it. The are many adult classes so no matter what your schedule is you can always find a class to train. You can train at the beginner and intermediate levels, and also at advanced and the advanced classes are like they should be. You won’t be disappointed. They really have it all covered and the vibe could not be better. Family vibe, no drama, it’s family friendly, and can get you competition ready if you want to compete. Me and my son love Alliance in Greenville.
Visited back in 2017 for a Cobrinha seminar, very welcoming Jiu-Jitsu school.
1st time practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at this location and loved it! Logan, Ben and Jony are great instructors. Thank you guys. Looking forward to training with you again.
I went there for a few years. It was fun and active. I became toned within a year and a half just from simple exercises, but what made me love it was the Juijutsu and judo training. Every Friday is fight day. I would roll and spar with all kinds of people and even lose to my superiors.
Rafa is a great instructor and one of the nicest guys you will ever meet. Also a fierce competitor. He’s got tons of high level students to train with. But if you are a beginner, no worries at all, this is definitely the right place to start your journey! You’ll love it here, come give it a try!
Great place to learn jiu-jitsu!! They have women's classes and the coach, Laura, is awesome! I highly recommend (:
Better place to learn Jiu Jitsu with respect, excellent environment and high level of professors. My son is in good hands.
Awesome place to train. As a person that travels for work and has trained at quite a few places on the road, this is one of the best gyms I've been to.
Visited Alliance during a work trip to get some training in. The staff was top notch and very welcoming. Will definitely be dropping in again when I’m back in the area. Thanks again Alliance.
Great training facility with tons to offer. Alliance JIU-JITSU TEAM ftw. 💪
Stopped by for an open matt. Top notch room full of great people.
Great gym, great instructors, great training partners.
Insane, this place is a hidden gem and the arx is by far the most intense strength and all out effort testing I've ever experienced. If you want to exponentially increase your strength and conditioning beyond what any other gym can do, go see Billy.
Great BJJ training!!
Love this place! Home away from home. Training is second to none!
Great gym. They work with you to make sure you are exercising correctly.
I know professor Rafael Rosendo is a high class legit BJJ black belt and one of the best instructors out there.
The place to learn Brazilian jiu-jitsu in greenville.
I visited Greenville for a week long business trip and needed a place to train to prep for an upcoming jiu jitsu tournament. I didn’t really know what to expect when I found Alliance Champions Center on Google Maps but I was pleasantly surprised by the high caliber jiu jitsu and the facility itself. If you’re looking for a place to work out, this gym has everything you need: turf, cardio machines, barbells, bumper plates, etc. Now, if you’re looking for a place to train Brazilian jiu jitsu, this is one of the top places in the country. Professor Rafael is a incredible teacher and his keen eye for details helped me revamp my game in a short time frame. His students share his passion for the sport and welcomed me with open arms. I highly recommend Alliance Champions Center to anyone who wants a holistic workout or is looking for quality jiu jitsu training. I thoroughly enjoyed my week here and cannot wait to visit again!
Great team that care about your development not only as an athlete but also as a person.
Top notch fitness and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training facility. Billy runs an amazing fitness program, including crossfit. Rafael is an amazing BJJ instructor and World champ. Everyone is super nice and helpful. Can recommend it enough.
Rafa is an amazing instructor with a wealth of knowledge to pass on to his students. He is the real deal. He and his staff of coaches are caring and respectful individuals with integrity. You can trust them to treat you right. Worth the visit for sure!
Best Jiu Jitsu program in the upstate, full schedule of classes and great instruction. Clean and Family orientated, if you are looking to compete or just find a great hobby they have it.
Alliance offers awesome expert Jiu Jitsu training. Fellow students even go out of their way to help beginners!
The trainers at this gym take the time to explain how to do the exercises and make corrections to your form during sessions to prevent injury. The atmosphere is always fun and full of learning. The other athletes at the gym are great people and contribute to the enjoyment of the experience, or as Billy calls it, "The Grind". I'm glad I joined this gym because I am constantly pushed to be better than I was the day before!
The environment is one of respect. The trainers take pride in their job and are committed to help you attain your goal, in my opinion they're simply the best at what they do. Keep up the good work!!!
I was looking for a BJJ school and all of my friends told me to check out Alliance, and what I found was knowledgeable and in depth instructors who are compassionate about the art.
It's been great for my family. My kids love there coaches and enjoy there time there. I have been training for about a year and a half. It's been life changing. When I signed up I was told "welcome to the team" and that's exactly what it is the members are always encouraging and courteous. I would recommend this place to anyone from a fighter needing to work on his jiu jitsu to someone looking to loose a few and get back in shape. For sure one of the best decisions I've made.
Amazing trainers who focus on the whole experience as well as the individual and their personal goals.
Wonderful place to continue or begin your Jiu Jitsu journey! Without a doubt the best BJJ school in upstate South Carolina.
It's intense but very helpful. I love my wonderful coaches and enjoy spending time with my volleyball team.
I’m going to wax poetic about my gym for a minute, so if you don’t want to read about exercise and one avenue of being awesome, then skip on over this post. Also, they didn’t pay me to say this, and I am not in any way affiliated with the gym, other than probably being their loudest, rowdiest client. So, way back in March, I started a program called Training For Warriors (TFW) at a gym called Alliance Champions Training Center in Greenville. I haven’t been in a gym in about 10 years, mind you. All of my working out has been either at home, or through various outdoor activities (i.e. crashing mountain bikes, tripping into ditches while jogging, crashing wakeboards, and just a lot of falling down outdoors, in general.). Holy crap, Batman! This place is like nothing like any gym I’ve been to before. My understanding is that it’s a Crossfit hybrid (feel free to correct me if I’ve gotten that incorrect). We do heavy lifting, but we also do a lot of conditioning work. So what does that involve? Basically, we lift weights and we run sprints… a lot of sprints. Yay! I seem to remember telling someone way back when I graduated high school that I would never run another sprint, as long as I lived. Fast forward 20 years, and here I am running sprints again. Never say never, I guess. Anyway, here’s the crazy part. I absolutely love it. I can sprint now- semi-quickly and without falling down (so far). I know; the world has officially ended. So how’d that happen? The coaches worked with me on my running form. They corrected a few things, and now I can run like the wind… a slight, breezy wind that you’re not really sure is blowing, but still a wind, none the less. And so, that brings to me to my first of two points. The coaches at this gym actually care about people. They take the time to explain things. While the classes are set up in a group format, they make sure that each individual person understands what is going on, and how to do it correctly. They care about your safety. For example, someone is always telling me not to hit my head, or not to trip over the kettlebells, or not to run in the outside lane because I almost ran into a pole that time… But seriously, your safety is their priority. Can’t do a specific lift? Fine. They’re gonna find a modification for you. They’re gonna get you to your goal, if you trust them. The second thing I absolutely love about this gym are the people that work out there. Age range, life experiences, fitness levels, and body size and shape are all across the board, so we have broad range of people. The one thing that everyone seems to have in common though, is everyone is encouraging. We all encourage each other. We pick each other up when things get difficult (so every Tuesday and Thursday), and we push through. It’s a team atmosphere that I haven’t experienced since high school sports, or since I shot rifle at Clemson. It’s a feeling that I didn’t even know I was missing until I found it again, and I am absolutely addicted. So, all of this being said, if you’re looking for a gym that will help you reach your fitness goals and push you to be your best, check out this awesome place. They also have youth classes, so if you gave your kid too much sugar, and now they’re bouncing off the walls, and you’re ready to pull your hair out… I mean, if you’re concerned about your precious angel's fitness level, check out their youth programs. I hear that’s what all the cool kids are doing.
My son is in the kids BJJ class. It has been extremely beneficial to his health as well as his confidence. The trainers are great. Update: After watching my son train for a year, I decided to take the plunge as an overweight, out of shape, 30 year old. It has been a great experience so far. I feel better than ever, and the friendships formed are second to none. I can't recommend Alliance Champions Training Center enough.
Very nice and clean facility, and a knowledgable, welcoming group of students and instructors. I have attended seminars and open mats at Alliance Champions (I am a student at a different association in the region) and have always felt welcomed and had great rolls with the team there. I look forward to visiting again.
I'm proud to be the head instructor at the Alliance BJJ in Greenville SC, I'm blessed to work beside someone like Billy Fletcher, the man who are ways thinking of how can we take our facility to the next level. "Hard work, pays off."
This place just wants your money.. have to buy one of their gi just to train there and also try to pick on or bulky smaller schools… choose another school
