  We love this place! Carlos and Rebekah were so welcoming to our daughter when she first began taking classes there. It takes her a while to get comfortable in a new group and they gave her so much support as she acclimated. Doing jiu jitsu has been really excellent for confidence building and she looks forward to going to class every week. Can't recommend it highly enough!

  Trained here almost all 4 years of my undergrad degree. All of the instructors are super knowledgeable and eager to help students. The community here is welcoming and accepting of everyone regardless of their background; the group of women who train here are especially awesome! They allow students to pause their membership during winter and summer if you are an OU student on break, which is a major plus. Training here was one of the best decisions I have ever made for both my physical and mental health, I can’t recommend it enough!

  Our girls have been attending one academy for over 2 years now and they love it. They can’t wait to be old enough to do muy Thai. Carlos and Becca are extraordinary instructors and incredible with the kids . I recommend them to everyone.

  Are you kidding me? This is one of the best experiences I have had in my life. I am a 41 year old woman who popped into One Academy one day and said, “I know nothing about martial arts but my daughter is taking your youth class, so I thought I would try out your adult Muay Thai class.” Best decision. Such an adrenaline rush. Such a feeling of confidence, power, and strength. All of it I attribute to Coach Carlos. He was as focused with me Day 1 as he was with his amateur fighters that night! He is a true teacher. His passion has no limits and his patience is constant. He only wants to make you better.

  Before coming to One Academy I had never done Jiu Jitsu or Muay Thai, and to say I was a bit apprehensive is an under statement. But, joining One Academy has truly been my favorite thing about moving to Athens. The atmosphere is so welcoming, patient, and the community truly is one of a kind where everyone looks after one another. I not only feel stronger, but more confident and empowered as well. If you are thinking about joining but aren’t 100% sure, here is your sign to step out of your comfort zone and try it out. I promise you won’t regret it.
