I trained here for several years while living in the area. I loved it. I made friends for life with a lot of the members here. They look out for you. You will get very hard rounds with very good people, but also you can flow with people if you’d like. Josh and Vinny are amazing, and Keith, Alex, Julian, and all the other instructors are great as well.

I recently tried a trial class at Olympus Jiu-Jitsu and was blown away by how welcoming and clean the gym is! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was friendly and inviting. The facility is spotless, with well-maintained, making it a comfortable place to train. The head coach and owner, Josh, was incredibly polite and approachable, ensuring I felt at ease as a newcomer. I highly recommend Olympus Jiu-Jitsu to anyone looking for a top-notch gym.

Not your average cookie-cutter jiu-jitsu academy. Having knowledgeable trainers that know how to implement their experience in a way that the kids enjoy learning makes ALL the difference. A spark of interest turned into a passion for our 5 year old and we owe it all to Olympus Jiu-jitsu Academy. Highly recommend!

I came from Orlando and wanted to have my kid a class and sime rolls before going to competition next day and I have to say this gym was amazing, professor is so nice and the class was a lot of grapplings because of the competition next day. Every time I come tome I will definitely go again 100%

This is an incredible BJJ Gym! There are all different skill levels with great instruction from the coaches and professors. Class times are accommodating (early morning, mid day, evening). The kids classes are next level as well! I have noticed a significant leap in their confidence since training here.

My daughtrr has been attending classes here for 1 year and a half, and the experience has been exceptional from day one.The curriculum is tailored perfectly for kids, with a balance of fun and skill-building activities. As a parent, I appreciate the open communication and involvement encouraged by the academy. Our experience has been great! We were considering a couple of jiu-jitsu places and once we checked out Olympus, we knew a few seconds after coming through the door that this was it! We signed up all 8 of our family members and train every week. The 6am morning class with Doug is my favorite class. There are a lot of training opportunities throughout the week. The kids absolutely love their class and are learning quickly and excelling! We look forward to growing with the Olympus family in our skill set and confidence for years to come.

We moved to the Tampa area last year and were searching for a BJJ school for our family to train at. The first academy we attended before Olympus was/is a popular association gym and we were shocked by how disrespectful the head instructor was to both the student athletes and the parents. The owner/head instructor was sarcastic and rude to the parents walking in and in one case didn't stand up off the mat or acknowledge new comers who walked in before class. While our kids were attending a trial class there we witnessed this instructor poke fun at and shame a young boy for crying in a previous class. This Cobra Kai style gym and poor attitude was not okay with us and is not something we want our kids to emulate. After that experience we kept searching for another gym and eventually found Olympus BJJ Academy with Professors Josh and Kauan. From the first moment we visited we were welcomed by Professor Josh and to our surprise the rest of the parents. The atmosphere felt waaay more relaxed and fun from the start, and all three of our kids love training in the kids program. Our two older boys have started competing and I've been training regularly with mid-day adult class crew. Totally recommend this gym if you're looking for a welcoming place to begin the Jiu-Jitsu journey, or if you're a grizzled color belt in the area and your current gym isn't quite what you're wanting.

My 9yr old son was invited to take a trial class last year. The environment, Professor Josh & all of the coaching staff welcomed us openly. My son has now made jiu jitsu an important part of his life! There is a a saying on the back wall of the school that reads "Jiu-jitsu changed my life" this is an understatement for my son. He has progressed and developed very quickly with the help of Olympus. I can't thank them enough and wouldn't hesitate to call any of them my family!

The atmosphere at the school is incredibly supportive, and everyone is genuinely friendly and welcoming. It is clear that Professor Souder and Coach Kauan Barboza place a strong emphasis on respect and camaraderie among their students, which creates a positive environment. In addition to the outstanding instruction and atmosphere, the facilities at the school are top-notch. The mat area is spacious and clean. Overall, I cannot recommend Olympus and Professor Josh Souder and Coach Kauan Barboza enough. Professor Josh is the gold standard when it comes to running an academy. His kids program is second to none. I visited 5 other schools before his and I knew within five minutes that his place was home for my family. I drive right by two well known academies, one within a mile, to get to Olympus. It is so worth it!

I am a Black Belt in BJJ and was on vacation in Florida. I stopped in to train with Professor Josh Souder and instead of taking a lunch break in between classes he stayed on the mat with me for about 2 1/2 hours and opened the vault of knowledge inside his head.
