I had the opportunity to drop in and train at Nu Wave and couldn’t be happier. Master Zoran’s was full of great techniques and the crew was incredibly welcoming. Plenty of space to roll with belt of all levels. Looking forward to the next trip though to train here again! OSS!
Over all I had a very positive experience at Nu Wave. I was welcomed with open arms at the age of 16 and I trained with them for 2 years. Unfortunately due to schedule conflicts I was unable to continue training, but if the opportunity presents itself I would definitely consider returning!!!
We’ve had a fantastic experience at Nu Wave. The coaches are incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely invested in each child’s development. They do an excellent job of creating a supportive environment while still maintaining high standards and discipline.
What stands out most is how they build confidence and resilience in the kids, not just technical skills. I’ve seen a real growth in my son’s confidence and enthusiasm since joining, which has been great to watch.
Highly recommend for anyone looking for a positive, structured, and well-run program with coaches who truly care.
I cannot recommend Nu Wave Jiu Jitsu highly enough. Zoran and Chris are brilliant teachers and have created an environment of dedicated, caring learning.
My two boys, 9 and 11 have made friends, learned the basics of BJJ, and had a great time doing it.
Our son Leo trained at Nu Wave Jiu Jitsu from ages 5–7, and it had a huge positive impact on his focus, discipline, and confidence. Coaches Zoran and Chris are exceptional—patient, structured, and incredibly skilled at managing classes with lots of young kids (which is no easy task). Classes were always well organized and positive. We highly recommend Nu Wave to any family looking for a great kids’ jiu jitsu program.
This has been our very first club experience in Canada as newcomers, and it’s been truly special. The two coaches are incredibly professional, and we’ve been lucky to meet so many kind and helpful volunteers.
At first, my kids were too shy to touch or interact with others, but before long, they were making new friends and having so much fun. It’s not just about learning Jiu Jitsu — it’s also a space where they can express themselves freely.
In a time when life sometimes feels heavy or uncertain, this class has helped us build confidence and bring back positive energy. It has also been a wonderful way to establish a regular exercise routine.
I have been training here for about a year now. Simply put, this is a gym full of awesome people. The coaches are phenomenal and will take care of you, plus there is a variety of skilled training partners to learn from and practice with as well. Come to one class and it will speak for itself.
I would recommend training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to anyone, but especially women, & definitely at this gym. The more you go the better you feel, and the more fun it gets as you learn. Embrace being a beginner, stick with it, and you will be satisfied here. 😊💪
I saw only good feedback for New Wave Jiu Jitsu, so I took my son for a couple of trial classes and I've seen enough for my heart to be content with this place. The positive reviews are well-warranted. Zoran, Chris, and (I believe) Daniel are the three instructors I have seen in action and they are amazing. They are very positive, supportive, and encouraging, as are the students that I was able to meet. They were also flexible with a couple of special needs that we have. I'm thankful to God that I came across this place, and I am completely comfortable entrusting these good people with my son. Very highly recommended if you're a positive person and you're ready to sweat!
Chris and Zoran provide a very comfortable and a structured environment to learn jiu jitsu, for all levels. Highly recommend this school for anyone looking to learn the art form.
Chris & Zoran are outstanding teachers and run an excellent program. Great group of classmates to learn with. I felt comfortable going to my first classes as a total beginner and I can see how the training and skills progress with time and effort. 5/5, highly recommended!
This is a great academy for beginners or advanced students. Professor Chris and Zoran are two excellent instructors. I'm really looking forward to training!
