I had a fantastic experience at London MMA! Freddie, the owner, was absolutely excellent—very accommodating, hospitable, and genuinely helpful. He went out of his way to arrange private lessons for my son, which made a big difference. The entire team was friendly and welcoming. We got in some really solid training in both Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and kickboxing. The instruction was high quality, the atmosphere was positive, and I felt like we were in good hands the whole time. Highly recommend London MMA whether you’re new to martial arts or looking to sharpen your skills. Great gym with great people!

Been training here for 4/5 years. Incredible community. Learnt and grown so much in this place. Freddie will give you the shirt off his own back. Let me and my team film our short film totally for free all day. Made friends for life here. Quality of trainers is top too notch. So much knowledge, skill and community. What a place!

I just want to say “ Thank you” to MMA London for allowing “ The Slugger of Commercial Road “ to film there, and for being so accommodating and supportive of small independent films and creativity. The owner is brilliant and the place is such a welcoming, professional diverse environment! It was the perfect location for what we needed. We really could not have completed without you, we are extremely grateful for your generosity, and support. As a mother it was amazing to see where Ali ( Actor/ Director/ writer) trains —you have shaped him to push himself , build his confidence and execute to a high standard! There is some serious energy in that place! If you’re looking for a great MMA gym in London, this is definitely one to check out. From Saj Khan MBE 🙏🏾

Professor Freddy is a high level competitor and wonderful instructor. This is my favorite place to train in London, the gym offers gi, no-gi, wrestling and Muay Thai classes. The mat space is clean and the friendly training partners are exceptional. Thank you for having me on the mats.

If I could give zero stars I would! I’ve been coming to this café regularly for the past months for their £10 lunch meal but today I had an extremely disappointing experience that has completely changed my view of this place. I ordered a sandwich instead of the usual lunch meal, and shortly after eating it, I felt a strong tingling in my nose and temples. I wasn’t sure if it was an ingredient or a possible allergy. I tried my best to eat this as I couldn’t afford to buy another lunch but I physically couldn’t continue so I approached the staff politely to explain what was happening. They also have no allergen warnings or information. The owner came over and was immediately defensive and dismissive. Instead of listening or offering a reasonable solution, he raised his voice, told me it was “my issue because I don’t like it,” and said they couldn’t offer anything unless I paid full price for another meal. I explained to him that it wasn’t about liking the food, it was causing me physical discomfort, and politely asked for a solution. Of course I wasn’t expecting anything for free and told him I can pay a difference or something. He refused, had an awful hostile confrontation attitude and continued speaking to me in a very unprofessional and rude manner. At one point as he continued attending other things I will mention that he offered a coffee as a ‘solution’. As someone who has eaten here several times a week, I expected basic courtesy but instead, I was left feeling embarrassed, upset, and completely unvalued. It’s clear the owner has little regard for his customers, and that’s not the kind of small-business ethos that people—especially those willing to support higher-priced independent cafés—should have to tolerate. The staff ultimately follow what he says and have witness his hostility with his worker too, so if you ever have an issue, you won’t be treated with respect or care by anyone. Will not be coming here ever again and will inform others about this experience too!
