I really appreciate that Professor Brad brings Purples and above into teaching; it adds perspective from different practitioners and keeps classes dynamic. Between BJJ, Striking, and Judo I’m in the best shape of my life.

Started training here the beginning of Jan 2025 with my 7yr old son. Come from a scholastic wrestling background and Coach Brad does an excellent job comparing and contrasting BJJ moves to other disciplines’ similar moves. Every session’s a challenging workout and I have a long way to go but really excited to have started a journey I’ve considered for over a decade. There’s ample opportunity for growth here with a wide range of skill levels. Highly recommend.

We were traveling from out of town & the head coach was gracious enough to let us come in & get some work in. Great class. Great students. Everyone was super friendly! It was a great experience. Would definitely recommend to anyone in town!

I stopped in for a class while in Missoula visiting my daughter and what a great experience. I attended the lunchtime BJJ class and Brad taught a really good class, showed several techniques and I was able to roll with a few of the students before I had to head out. If you are in the area and looking for a top notch BJJ gym, I highly recommend checking out Missoula BJJ.

I have been training at MSBJJ for over a year now. The level of instruction is second to none from Professor Brad. Having grown up in martial arts, it gave me the wherewithal to discern a quality BJJ gym and MSBJJ is that quality gym. The culture that Professor Brad has created is a family oriented atmosphere where your training partners become your BJJ brothers and sisters. Professor Brad places a high emphasis on hygiene and takes serious the safety of each person who walks through the door. My fellow training partners are top notch people who will push you to become better in the art of BJJ. Professor Brad recently brought back the kids BJJ program and is giving the children the same level of instruction with a great group of coaches helping out. Coach Brad & Coach Mike are two of the best. Very awesome dudes. Highly skilled black belts in jiu jitsu, but also very great teachers that are very safe with their training and their students. I also had some very competitive rounds with them as a visiting brown belt. If you are ever in Missoula, I’d highly recommend coming here. Amazing environment, great community, and a lot of studs out here making each other better. It’s a win for everyone from experienced people, and beginners.

Favorite place in Missoula! Started training here a year ago with no previous Jiu Jitsu experience. Everything about MBJJ made my introduction into the art a smooth (while also humbling) experience. If you have even the slightest interest in martial arts, consider dropping in for a class. I certainly wish I would have sooner!

I'm two months into this. I joined for fitness and social reasons. I was in fair shape, but am nonathletic - clumsy. I've managed at least three classes a week, and do the striking as well as BJJ. I really enjoy the club. Brad and Mike are on the BJJ side, and Oscar is on the striking. All of them are patient, thoughtful instructors. They present the lesson carefully, allow ample time for questions, answer questions well, and most importantly work with the students as they attempt to master new moves - showing them where they are incorrect, and providing them new ways to think about completing a move. I've been super happy with instruction. Brad's something of a mastermind, integrating stretching, drills, and simple, smaller moves into a larger BJJ picture that often spans several weeks. I think it's working! I feel like more than any move I'm learning to think about space, leverage, blocking, and other concepts rather than just a bunch of seemingly unrelated moves. Perhaps more important than the instruction is the attitude of the other students. Without exception, this has been outstanding. Other white belts are conscientious (no one is getting hurt) and have a positive attitude. The upper belts are totally amazing. Maybe the best part of all. They patiently work with lower belts, and really help us achieve mastery. There are no egos and we work together to learn what is taught. This is a great club because it's full of great people.
Man - I can't speak higher of Brad and Missoula BJJ. This place has the best people and Prof. Brad is an amazing teacher. In addition, the other instructors are extremely skilled and helpful. Regardless of if you've been training for years or just looking to get started, this gym is incredible and worth checking out!
Brad is a fantastic instructor who puts everything he has into something he loves. He helps people better themselves and helps them build confidence. I'm so grateful for Missoula BJJ and everyone connected to this gym.

Love this place. My 5 year old is in the kids, Jiu Jitsu class. She absolutely loves it. The coaches are patient, and full of knowledge. I take the Fitboxing class. It's a serious workout. I have learned so much already. Definitely a great place for anyone looking to get out of the standard box gym.
Dropped in to an evenings worth of no-gi class, and a Saturday open mat Great friendly group. Would happily train here fulltime Beginning class had good balance of introducing the really new people, and I learned some new techniques too (Leglocks 😁😈) Intermediate was of difficult, but they were happy to help me out. Open mat was a tremendous amount of fun.
I went to Missoula BJJ in early August 2019, dropping in on their 0630 class with Ian. I saw that thet were a BJJ globetrotters gym, so I decided to try it out. It was a great class, the space was very clean, the instruction was well thought out, they were super friendly and i learned plenty of new things. Highly recommend this establishment.

I have always struggled with my weight. When I was a bar tender I would only go to the gym after work (@ 3am), because I was so self conscious about what other people thought of me. Once I left the bar, I quit going to the gym. I started to gain weight again. Then one day my brother convinced me to go to a free class @missoulabjj. My life changed. For the first time of my adult life I'm sub 200 lbs. I have more confidence and love for myself. Jiu Jitsu forced me to quit smoking after 16 years of smoking. I love the brothers and sisters I train with. I love how you made me feel part of the family. I love this academy. Thanks to everyone on my journey. Especially Bradley Allen Lehuta for creating such a positive environment to train and develop in. My journey began 4 months ago and I hope it never ends.
The first thing I noticed about missoula BJJ and Muay Thai, was the clean and orderly facilities. The second was the relaxed and positive environment, that is condusive for learning. As an United States Army veteran, it was refreshing to find an atmosphere that promotes structured learning and singular focus. The instruction is second to none, with extreme emphasis put on technique and control. The instructors are deeply knowledgeable and enthusiastic, and won't push you into competition unless they are confident in your abilities. Whether you're just looking for a new and challenging workout, or training for a fight, this is the gym for you. Again, I cannot highlight enough the passion these guys exude for their craft, and their willingness to explain complex concepts and moves in an smooth and concise way. Missoula BJJ and Muay Thai has changed my life by giving me the confidence and comradery I was looking for.
Great place to train! My 12 yo daughter began her journey last year and I was so impressed with the coaching and friendly atmosphere that I began my adventure in jiu jitsu soon after. Highly recommended for beginners and veterans alike.

MBJJ is a great academy with great instructors. Brad is an amazing coach and has always fostered a feeling of respect and friendship. Brad is a navy veteran and as a fellow vet I can say that he created an atmosphere that I had not experienced anywhere else outside of the military. Brad convinced me to try BJJ and it has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. The level of instruction at this academy is outstanding. I have rolled with everyone from high school students to members of the Missoula Police Department; all of them have been challenging and rewarding rolling partners. Every day, every roll, was a learning experience and BJJ nights are something I look forward to all day. Regularly the academy would bring in black belts and high level practioners who were always willing to spend the extra time with the new guys and teach something new. If you're on the fence about trying BJJ, come in for one week to Missoula BJJ. I guarantee you will not be disappointed and your experience here will be something you wish you had tried years ago.
I've been rolling there from the day they opened! I've been to other places around town which were fine, but Missoula Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu by far is the best place to go in my opinion. Chill people and a relaxed atmosphere witb no stressful encounters with other people....good vibes there.
Great school, fantastic atmosphere, no egos. I've trained at schools and gyms all over the country and none of them have what Missoula BJJ has.

The best gym I've been to in the area. Very friendly to women without the creepy vibe I've gotten from other establishments in the past. The instruction is professional, while, still laid back and family friendly.

I've trained long term at 3 different gyms. 2 were renzo gracie gyms in New York, the third being here at Missoula BJJ. Missoula BJJ has been the best experience I've had out of my three gyms so far. I feel like I get much more out of my rolls at Missoula BJJ because the goal here is to practice what we are learning, as opposed to 'winning' your rolls, which i've experienced at other gyms. The more relaxed pace really lets me get a chance to understand what is happening during competing. The atmosphere here is also really friendly! Good luck Missoula BJJ!
This place is awesome for jiu jitsu in Missoula! The blackbelt teacher here is really great, he teaches in a very technical and clear way. You can tell he really wants his students to understand and enjoy bjj. The gym is super clean and has a great big mat and the monthly fee is very reasonable. What more could you ask for? If your interested in bjj or already practicing, check this place out!
Nice group of people, I came as a guest from out of town to a beginners class totally unfamiliar with BJJ and they were very friendly and patient. Will go again. 👍
I told coach Bradley I was not going to come in for a free class before getting information on pricing after being contacted by him. He then told me Missoula BJJ was not for me. So if you dare ask about how much money they are going to charge for their classes I guess this is not the place for you. Saved a star for politeness.
Owner was extremely rude and refused to give me any kind of pricing info unless I came in in person.
