What a great experience! I've had the pleasure of stopping by for the first time recently and I had a great time training with some new faces. Everyone was super friendly and a great roll (even though I'm from WI!). I'd totally recommend stopping by for the open mat (which I went to). I'm super thankful that they allow non-members to stop by for those - helpful for a broke college student. Definitely looking forward to coming back when I'm around!
Posted 7 months agoWe love our gym family. That is exactly what MTT is. Family like atmosphere where everyone is friendly . They offer boxing. Muay tai. Ju jitsu. Fitness. Strength classes . As well as physical therapist. Personal trainers and open gym. Coaches and gym owners that are awesome and want to help you succeed . Coaches of all disciplines are very knowledgeable and able to help no matter your skill level. This is the type of place where you make life long friendships. Everyone supports each other. Have had several members. Coaches annd the owners attended graduations and competitions. Proving it’s not just about gym life. At the same time sculpt amazing fighters and lifters. We have some high ranking amateur and some pro fighters of all disciplines that train with us. A lot of medals. Belts and competitions have been won by our members. We joined the family little over 7 years ago. My oldest daughter started in boxing few. Did that for. Few years and loved learning how to fight. She eventually had to get a job and schedule changed so she switched to fitness and strength classes. She had to step away for military deployment but still uses all the skills she has been taught at MTT to continue effective trading at her base. My second daughter started with boxing as well . Then eventually wanted to try fitness and strength training. Here is where the coaches saw her true potential and helped thrive. She has been on the podium for CrossFit competitions a few times. Won a few of them. With some personal programming and private sessions she did the CrossFit open last year and ranked 82nd in the world. Amazing feat at the age of 15. MTT has helped her become incredibly strong and confident. After he last competition she decided she wanted to try Ju jitsu to put her strength to test in different ways. Thanks to those coaches she is doing awesome in there too. My son also started in boxing did it for few years but after watching a few classes recently I could see that his heart wasn’t in boxing . So he decided to give kids ju jitsu and try. He quickly loved the sport and goes to class excitedly every day that it’s offered. Had already entered his first competition and got bronze medal. Recently my youngest daughter attended her brother first competition and started wrestling her cousins soon after. So we decided to let her take a free class and see how she liked it. She is 6years old. Coaches were super nice and gentle with her . Kids classes have 2 coaches per class . So was awesome that one of the coaches at all times were breaking things down slowly so she could catch on. That’s all it took. She now absolutely loves it as well and has gone to as many classes as she could and was disappointed the days that we had evening plans and couldn’t go or the days that a kids class isn’t offered. Lastly there is me. I’m 40 years old. Started in boxing as well. Loved learning the sport. Sparring and getting some aggression out on the many heavy bags I did boxing for 3 years. But decided I wanted to build muscle mass so I also joined fitness and strength training. Have come a long way . Built a good amount of muscle and hit lots of personal lifting records If you made it this far I clearly got your attention. Minnesota top team is incredible. Has done so much for our family in and out of the gym. We wouldn’t go anywhere else. Highly recommend stopping in checking us out and giving your first free class a try!! You won’t regret it!
Posted 8 months agoI’m 41, and I’ve been going to MTT since February 2025—and I’ve never felt healthier in my life. I started with the daily work classes just 1–2 days a week, but now I’m there 4–5 days because I love it. There’s absolutely no pressure to join, but the coaches are so friendly, knowledgeable, and supportive that you’ll want to keep coming back. The members are just as welcoming—encouraging you in the best way possible. It’s the kind of “peer pressure” that inspires you to compete not against others, but with yourself, pushing to be better, healthier, and to have fun doing it. The gym has an incredible mix of ages, body types, and fitness levels. Many gyms claim to be “no judgment,” but MTT doesn’t just say it—they prove it every day through their actions. If you can’t do a particular exercise, there’s always a scaled version available—and if that’s still too much, there’s a scaled version of the scaled version! With early morning, midday, and evening classes, it’s easy to fit MTT into your schedule. It’s a place that supports both your physical and mental health, and for me, it’s become one of my favorite places to be. They offer different membership packages, family discounts, and even free trial classes so you can try the Workout of the Day, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, or boxing. TL;DR: Free first class, truly no-judgment gym, amazing coaches, and fun people to work out with.
Posted 1 year agoI can't say enough about how much I love this place. I have been coming here for a couple of years, primarily for boxing but also some Crossfit, and deciding to go to my first class was one of the best choices I've ever made. I was nervous at first, having never done boxing, but I was hooked after the first time. The coaches, the employees, other gym goers - everyone is so supportive and friendly, and it's just a fun place to work out. Every coach I have taken a class with, in any discipline, clearly cares about making sure we all learn and improve, and anyone from beginners/casuals to high level competitors will find what they're looking for here. Highly, highly recommend.
Posted 1 year agoI'm coming from the from the boxing side so Saint Paul currently in non competitive. At the same time Top Team is competitive and when me and my daughter was getting turned down. By Saint Paul Gyms for sparring, Top Team stepped up. Luca and a young lady gave us sparring, when nobody in Saint Paul would. Hand us our butt but that's what you need. Not fake or fiction, you need something realistic. This is what this Gym gives you with pro boxer like Gavin or elite amateurs like Eddy. Also great coaches like Roy, so if you're near, get over there💯
Posted 1 year agoAmazing gym and great coaches. Super helpful and hands on. Highly recommend them.
MTT deserves every 5-star review, and more. The only reason I left is because I am moving out of state. I attended this gym for approximately four years and can speak to the following: Leadership: the owners of MTT kept me coming back. I could have went to multiple gyms closer to where I lived but continued coming here for the genuine relationship created with the owners. I was excited to come here each and every day to see my friends and be part of a fantastic culture. Coaches: the coaches are very knowledgeable in both boxing and BJJ. I really enjoyed learning from different people and seeing the style that each coach brings to the table. The experience that the coaches have is second to none. They are fun, inviting, and know how to challenge you and build you up. Facility: the MTT facility is very spacious. Each section (boxing, BJJ, CrossFit, etc.) has its own dedicated area which allows for a thriving gym community where everyone has the space to come in and do their thing. Overall: being a part of MTT has been hands down one of my favorite experiences. It gave me something to look forward to, a way to better myself, and a community to be a part of. I cannot recommend this gym any higher. If you start coming here, you’ll be hooked, and won’t regret it.
My daughter has been taking BJJ classes at MTT for a few months now, and she absolutely loves it. I've been incredibly impressed by the owners and coaches and the supportive and inclusive environment they provide. She had no previous martial arts experience and has learned so much, as well as made quick friends. There are numerous coaches for the classes throughout the week, and they complement one another wonderfully, with each bringing something great to the table and making it a point to connect with each kid each class. They stress personal responsibility and discipline to the kids, and I've seen my daughter applying those lessons even to homework and other areas of her life. I couldn't be happier with the program and with our experience so far. In addition to learning, my daughter also has a ton of fun and always comes home happier and excited. I'm very glad to have found this gym, and I hope she continues there for years to come.
Clean and welcoming! The coaches are great and meet you where you are on your fitness journey, then motivate and encourage you to reach your goals, whatever they may be.
I have been here for TWO years! The owners are very pleasant with huge hearts! Each coach is very dedicated to their craft! I had no experience with barbells, weights, and various kinds of lifts! Roderick H. The lead coach did not give up on teaching me all the nuances of a Cross Fit work out!! Each lesson is unique when a member shows up for the one hour class! I give this gym a massive high rating for a life transformation! They also offer boxing & jujitZU/&( kid classes); plus showers in 2 out of 4 restrooms. Impeccable atmosphere- of warmth, SAFETY, & professionalism!!!!!! 10+ stars!
This is an incredible organization with a quality, first-class staff and support system. Age, skill level, or fitness level is not a problem. If you're considering, simply go in and explore your options. Well worth it!
Great gym with a solid atmosphere. My first time visiting today, but I know I'll be back again soon. Welcome to the GFTeam family!
A fantastic gym, excellent coaches, great classes and more importantly nice people that make up a big family! I will never forget my experience at MTT, the people I met and the abilities I acquired whilst training here. I started boxing here in early 2022 in what I thought would be sporadic exercise. With no experience in boxing, I quickly found a great interest in the discipline and a few weeks into it I already did not imagine missing a single class. Nearly two years later, thanks to all the coaches and classmates met along the way, I finally feel like a boxer. I eventually added Crossfit to my training routine which effectively changed the way I viewed "working out". Life unfortunately caused me to prematurely part ways with this gym and its people, but I will cherish every memory I made here. All in all, a brilliant experience. A massive THANK YOU to everyone that helped make my experience memorable at Minnesota Top Team.
I love MTT. The coaches are great and the sense of community is awesome. Everyone wants to see you succeed. Jiu jitsu in particular is highly recommended 👍🏻
I came to visit and take class with coach Charles Anoozie. The gym is gorgeous. Amazingly clean and professional. I took the Jiu Jitsu class. Coach Charles shared a great and detailed lesson that fit perfectly into my game. I enjoyed rolling with the team at the end of class. I will definitely be back next time I am in Minnesota.
Excellent facility with really good CF coaches. The ownership is very communicative and reliable. I had a persistent issue with their front desk person who was despondent to two time-based issues. Probably more of a reflection of experience and maturity than a reflection on their character though. Definitely would continue training here if logistics made sense though.
My son has done both the jiu jitsu and boxing class and has loved both!
Despite only being on week 2 since joining, I did feel compelled to write a review and share my appreciation to everyone at MTT for being so welcoming and encouraging. I signed up for the Crossfit program, and I am having an absolute blast learning. The Coaches are very accommodating and willing to help me learn new moves and lifts. Participants in the class encourage each other and push each other to keep going. I had been a member at several different gyms and tried many different programs and routines, and so far the Crossfit program has helped hold me accountable and get the most out of my routines. Much appreciated, Minnesota Top Team!
I've been a member for a year now and it's easily been one of the best decisions I've ever made. Jeremy and Jennie treat you like family and run a top-notch gym. The front desk crew will make you feel welcome every time you walk through the door. The coaching and programming is second to none and I feel like I improve every day I show up. I've been involved in their CrossFit, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and boxing programs - and never had a negative experience. All of the coaches and other gym members are incredibly welcoming and encouraging. The novelty hasn't worn off after a year - it's still something I look forward to every single day and quite often the highlight of my day. I just wish I would've found this gym years ago!
Excellent gym in a great location. The staff is knowledgeable and genuinely cares about all members. Also and AWESOME place to kids for boxing and/or jiujitzu. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
5 star gym for sure. All the staff members, coaches, and even fellow gym members are super cool and really nice. I've been doing the adult boxing classes for a few months now and I've learned so much to the point that my brain can't even keep up sometimes but it's fine because I'm having a great time. I really appreciate what this gym has done for me mentally and physically. Joining this gym was probably one of the best decisions I've ever made. Thank you MTT.
Great training facility. Boxing class súper awesome. Had class with Jesse it was exceptional.
I’ve been going to Minnesota Top Team for cross fit a few years now and I love it. It’s a great community that makes you feel welcomed. Everyone is really supportive of each other. The coaches are good at offering different levels of difficulty to meet you where you are or adapt workouts around injuries. The workouts are challenging and usually combine different strength and cardio portions together for a great overall workout.
Great place to make friends and learn how to hurt them better.
Minnesota Top Team is a fine martial arts establishment. All the staff are warm and very easy to be around. The coaches are articulate with instruction, and give personal feedback even in the context of a whole class.
Great gym to train at. The coaching team and entire gym community is incredibly welcoming.
Great place, they do a wonderful job 🥊👍
I couldn't be happier to have joined MTT Jiu Jitsu. After the first free class, there was no pressure to join, but I was hooked. The schedule for classes is great and allows for me to find time to make it to train during my hectic and busy schedule. The instructors are wonderful and knowledgeable and take genuine interest in my growth in the sport. Jeremy and Jennie always greet me by name and that means a whole lot. I quickly realized that I didn't just join a gym; I joined a community.
I had a great time here during my free class, everyone was supportive and pushed me to get better. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to get the best work out of their lives and strive for greatness! I'll definitely be coming back
Great gym! Go there almost every day. All you need is a pair of gloves (which they sell there), so there is not a lot of preparation and equipment. Would highly recommend.
Great place. Very friendly and will get you all the help you need to work on your skill. Fun environment and good class workouts and development.
Good place
I’ve been coming here for two years now, this gym is great. Mostly I’ve been doing boxing, but I did CrossFit for a while and tried jiu jitsu. I had a good experience with all three, and it’s good to have these options available at the same gym. Everybody treats each other with respect, which I think is important, especially in a sport like boxing.
Our family loves to be here and have learned so much from all the coaches. We do jui jitsu, boxing and CrossFit and truly value tHe ways being a part of this gym makes our family healthier. We value this business beyond just a gym, it’s like a second home.
Great place for lessons kids and adults
Four score and seven years ago I wasn't alive, but I'm thankful for that otherwise I wouldn't have been able to go to this awesome gym!
It was a great experience and atmosphere at this gym. The owners and staff were always on point, very helpful and fun to be around! I would definitely still be going to this gym if I lived closer.
You feel more like family than just a member.
The entire MTT staff and owners are fantastic! I'm 40 years old and what I like most about this gym is that everyone, staff and members are always welcoming and encouraging. Also, the coaches will push you to get stronger and better, but never will they push you to the point of leaving the gym. It's a great mix age wise, which means you'll never feel out of place. If you're someone who truly wants to turn your life around physically and mentally, then come join the MTT family! Big shout-out to boxing coaches Alex, Andre and Slava!
MTT is a phenomenal place to train; whether you are trying to lose weight, gain weight, get stronger or faster; it is all here. I walked in the door a year and a half ago and my only regret is that I didn't do it sooner. I came in to MTT because of some physical limitations I have and I was hoping to find a gym that could provide the encouragement and assistance to get over/around these limitations. They do this daily!! Thanks so much to Jen, Jeremy and the entire staff of trainers at MTT.
Couldn't have chosen a better environment to be humbled in everyday. Coaches are great and so is the owner Jeremy.
Jennie & Jeremy are awesome! They spent the afternoon teaching our 8th grade girls confirmation class self-defense techniques. They are extremely knowledgeable and made the class super fun. The girls started out a bit hesitant, but by the end you could tell their confidence had increased. Would definitely recommend them to others!
I'm a 59 year old guy who started my journey at Minnesota Top Team last October. When I walked into MTT I was welcomed with open arms...no judgements because of my age, physical condition, etc. I knew I was in the right place. Since starting at MTT, I have lost 13 pounds, my cholesterol is lower than it's ever been and my doctor has reduced my high blood pressure medication twice. As a matter of fact, yesterday she was concerned that (on the medication) my blood pressure may be too low...so, another reduction in dosage. She said that if this continues that I may be off high blood pressure medication within the next 30-60 days. Goodbye beta blockers, hello more intensive workouts! I haven't felt this good physically, and haven't felt this good about myself, for a long time. I want to thank Jennie and Jeremy, the owners, for creating such a caring and welcoming environment and culture...and for assembling such a great staff. They're the best! I want to thank Zach and Marcus, my Jiu Jitsu coaches, who are always there to help me, encourage me and to push me beyond my self-imposed limits. And...for walking with me through my Jiu Jitsu journey. They're the greatest! I want to thank Alex, my former boxing coach, with whom I started my MTT journey. He helped me to start rebuilding my core...probably without even knowing it. Workout with Alex, and you'll know what I'm talking about:) I want to thank my personal trainer Sean, who helps me with strength & conditioning, diet and pushes me when I think there's nothing 'left in the tank'. I want to thank Sebastian, Shivang, Slava, Corey and all my other Jiu Jitsu training partners for helping me, for training with me, for their patience and for their constant words of encouragement. Is it starting to sound like a family? Well it is, at least a second family. Hey, fellow oldtimers, come on in, the water's fine. We're not getting any younger...the time is now. Hope to see you at MTT...you won't regret it.
The coaches are great and knowledgeable!
I’ve moved around a lot. Getting settled in each new location means finding a new gym. When moving to Eagan, I tried all of the local gyms. MTT’s coaching staff are very knowledgeable and safe. I am picky about safety. And the community and atmosphere are awesome! Joining this gym is joining a family, the coaches and owners greet you by name.
I love this place!
I was passing through town when a friend recommended I check this gym out, and I am really glad I did! This place has everything you need to attain your fitness and fighting goals. It’s super clean and the people there are incredibly friendly! Great training. I did BJJ there and it was the perfect blend of rolling hard but not being crazy. I got a great workout and I’m looking forward to coming back.
I've been at MTT for Jiu Jitsu since summer 2017 after my old gym closed and its been a great experience. The owners are fantastic... they've created a family oriented fitness and sports complex that feels welcoming and warm. The owners participate in the sports they offer as well, so they know exactly what kind of vibe runs through the gym. For BJJ, the instructors are fantastic and highly experienced. They are very detail oriented and great communicators in class, and take responsibility to make sure the atmosphere and coaching are meeting everyone needs. You don't see all that many schools in Minnesota where a black belt from Brazil teaches the kids classes, but that goes to show the level of passion these people have for the sports they are involved in and the relationships they are building with their clients. The clients at the gym are a highly diverse group of people with all kinds of different backgrounds and we all learn from each other every day, sometimes in ways that go beyond sports. Its been a fantastic place to train and I highly recommend checking it out.
This place rocks! I was looking for a place that would get me into shape quickly as I have a spare tire AKA "Dad Bod" I called to inquire about classes that they offer and after a Q & A they recommended the boxing classes. They offer a free class to try it out. I went in and got the workout I was looking for. Alex kick ass! He doesn't stand for any slacking and will let you know. He will also jump in and help you with technique with a great demeanor. I was looking for a cross between the workouts I got in basic training in the military and a more focused workout for my old man body. So far I couldn't be happier. I have lost a solid 7 lbs in the first 30 days and that spare tire looks well on it way out. Andre is the Saturday instructor and he rocks as well. I highly recommend MTT to anyone looking for a great workout with likeminded instructors and classmates. They offer Boxing, Cross fit and Jujitsu. You should check this place out. You will be happy that you did.
Excellent training environment! Great coaching and welcoming team. You're first class is free so stop in and see for yourself!
Visiting from California, reminded me of my gym in San Diego. Good coaches, great atmosphere.
Great facility, has boxing, jui jitsu and crossfit. Went to the jitsu class. Good training and drilling. Nice group of people and friendly environment. Thanks for the class! Hope to catch you again when I'm in town for work.
I have been at this gym from the very beginning and wouldn't dream about going elsewhere! Jennie and Jeremy have put so much love into this gym! From the minute you walk in, you are greeted with the upmost respect, not only by staff but by the members as well! Every program they offer (Boxing, Crossfit and jiu-jitsu) have some of the best coaches you'll meet! The class schedules are made for everyone, weather you work early mornings, afternoons or nights... There will always be a time for you. Not only does this gym make sure you get exactly what you came for (And some!) but the feeling of the gym is indescribable. The gym radiates love, family, fun, seriousness all in one and thats what keeps members here.
The coaches are knowledgeable and the gym has everything I need. Classes are great, I'm glad I joined.
Love MN Top Team! My son has been involved in jiu jitsu and he loves it! Awsome owners and coaches.
I was in the boxing program they offer and was not disappointed. You actually get to train and the workouts are constantly changing so it's not the same routine over and over. This is not aerobics. The trainers are experienced and they have multiple classes wich were really helpful with my ever changing work schedule. When you're ready you can advance into competitive boxing and sky's the limit. When I'm back in Minnesota I'll surely be back at MN Top Team.
Minnesota Top Team is great. My daughters (10 and 11) attend boxing classes while me and my wife attend Cross Fit. It works out pretty slick. No one is made to feel bad if they don't have a high skill level starting off. There are a lot of people of different sizes and abilities. Everyone is super nice and friendly including the coaches and owners. It's a pretty awesome place, I would highly recommend.
Love MN Top Team! My son has been involved in the boxing program and now jiu jitsu. Great owners and coaches.
Greatest gym in the world. Amazing coaches, environment and workout. Check them out for a free class and you will be hooked!
Great owners, coaches and members! Truly feels like family. Fun programs for all ages that get results.
While staying in Eagan on business I had the pleasure of getting a few workouts in at Minnesota Top Team. Jeremy and Jennie were very welcoming and extremely hospitable. Their gym is extremely clean and had an amazing atmosphere. I did a few crossfit workouts during my stay. Jeff (the instructor, was very helpful and encouraging. The athletes at the gym has a great morale and knew how to enjoy a workout. I would recommend this gym to any athlete looking to have fun while working out. Whether you're a first timer or an experienced athlete, he sure to check out MTT.
If you live in the south metro and want to train BJJ (or boxing or CrossFit) then this is the place to go. Even if I moved to the north metro I think I would still make the trip here. It's that good. My sons and I started training BJJ at their Rosemount location and after they opened this new Eagan location we started training here. Lots of mat space and some of the best coaches in MN.
I've trained jiu jitsu for over three years, and I really enjoyed the training provided at MTT-Rosemount. Unfortunately I was forced to stop training there due to living too far away, but the time that I spent there was excellent. The coaches truly made all members feel like part of a shared family, and everyone had a place at the gym.
I've been going to this gym for about 5 years now and I LOVE it! I've done the adult boxing classes and now I'm doing CrossFit. All of the workouts (both boxing and CrossFit) are always different and have really kept me in shape. Also the people are wonderful. If you're looking for a great workout and great people to be around, then this is the gym for you.
I love training here. If you're looking for a training environment surrounded by people passionate about what they do, no matter if it's Yoga, CrossFit, Jiu Jitsu, Boxing, Muay Thai Kickboxing or athletic training this is the place for you. They set up a second location in Rosemount, MN and offer a great kids and adults BJJ program and also have a tremendous boxing instructor who leads a fun and super knowledgable boxing program. This is my second home!
Over the last few years that I've been a member here, it has been nothing but awesome. I've dabbled in Boxing, Personal Training, Core Circuit and now CrossFit. The owners, Jeremy and Jennie, are fun, honest, supportive and inspiring!! They genuinely care about their members and motivate each of us to be our best! The trainers are so supportive and motivating. They get to know each of us as individuals and celebrate and remember each of our milestones. The rugged warehouse type setting provides a space that isn't intimidating and makes EVERYONE feel welcome!! MTT isn't just a gym, it's a family! I absolutely love the MTT family and am proud to be a member!
<3 MTT! When you first walk into the gym everyone is so friendly and welcoming! I have been a member for almost a year and have had a great experience! All the trainers/coaches here will help you achieve your goals!
MTT is a fantastic gym and a great community of people. Jeremy, Jenny and the team of coaches have shaped an environment that is very driven to compete, work hard, and excel, all while being supported by your coaches and peers. I've been involved in boxing here a couple years, and it truly has become a bit of a second family!
Minnesota Top Team is a great place to lear boxing, kickboxing, Ju jitsu, Muy tai. Check it out, don't be intimidated, you will be surprise how many people are in the same level as you. whether you are just starting or a pro, MTT is the place for you!!
This do a very good kickboxing class, although it's only offered 2 nights a week.
I was visiting from out of town in 2019 I believe. I paid the drop in fee of $25, started class, was asked not to participate after maybe 15 minutes (?) because I was sick (gout), they kept the drop in fee. Other than that the instruction was good, tough black belt who was a good instructor, and my issue is more with the front desk than with anyone else.
Really disappointed in their business practices. My son was taking classes but needed to take a break for a month. I asked if we could put a pause on the classes and then continue thereafter and was told no, because I didn't provide 30 days notice in advance. Not everyone has that flexibility, but the woman at the front desk was adamant that was their policy and they followed it. Ok, cool, you got your $200 for the month, but lost out on business for months or possibly years thereafter. Doesn't make much sense to me, as most gyms or other programs allow that. Overall disappointed.
