I was touring through Ohio and cold emailed a few martial arts schools hoping to drop into a class while I was in town. Meng’s Martial Arts replied, and I had NO idea I was walking into one of the most special martial arts communities I’ve ever experienced. Not only is this the headquarters of a major Wing Chun organization, but Grandmaster Meng also built the world’s first Wing Chun Museum — which he personally gave me a tour of. The history, knowledge, and passion inside this place is incredible. But what stood out even more was the people. Sifu Vincent welcomed me with open arms from the very first phone call. The students immediately treated me like family. I got to train with them, share meals together, and experience a level of hospitality and community that honestly moved me. The coolest part? Their entire school came out to support my comedy show at Bricky’s Comedy Club and completely packed the room on a Thursday night. The amount of love and support they showed a complete stranger was unforgettable. You can tell this school isn’t just about martial arts — it’s about character, family, discipline, and community. If you’re anywhere near Ohio and interested in Wing Chun, martial arts, or just being around genuinely good people, Meng’s Martial Arts is something special. Thank you again to Grandmaster Meng, Sifu Vincent, and the entire Meng family for such an unforgettable experience.
Posted 3 months agoWe love Mengs Martial Arts! Great kids / family program. It really feels like family here. The Meng family has been at this location for 40 years & the energy is infectious. Make sure you come check out classes & say Hi to Sifu, Simo or any of the Mengs Bros.
Posted 6 months agoIf I could give 10/5, I would. I've been involved with Meng's Martial Arts since March 21st, 1995 - so I'm turning 30 in kung fu this year. And, no hyperbole, Meng's Martial Arts, Grand Master Benny Meng, Sitaai Sunmi P. Meng literally saved my life. I was 20, working in a sandpaper factory, and angry at the world. The truth was - I was angry with myself. I blamed ME for everything wrong in my life, rejected myself, and only ever saw the negative. I was consumed with how wrong I was for even existing... I didn't know it at the time, but I was repressing memories of abuse as a child. But they didn't see any of that - they saw an intelligent, inquisitive, serious young man and took me under their wings. They gave me the space to just be - I didn't have to perform to earn their respect or interest. They met me where I was and helped me grow. Since then, I've become a multi-time US national champion, Pan-American campion, multi-time Grand Champion, and I'm currently a 6th Degree Master. I've had my own school for almost 2 decades, I've worked with kids from 3 to 94, * created a falling safely workshop after my mom fell as suffered a traumatic brain injury, * had 2 of my students successful escape abduction attempts, * had multiple students earn in excess of $100,000 in college scholarships * produced champions of my own * written articles, been featured on DVDS * travelled throughout the USA, and to Canada, Brazil, China, Hong Kong, and Korea Grand Master Meng opens the door to the world, if you want it. You have to do the work - show up, put in the sweat and effort - kung fu means skill and ability developed through hard work over time - no one's going to just HAND you your skill, you have to earn it. But then it's yours - you stand on your own two feet. If you're looking for a place to thrive, to challenge you, to grow you - you could NOT ask for a better facility, staff, team, family. Meng's Martial Arts changed my life, and today I have 2 best selling books, I regularly consult with highly successful men and couples behind the scenes, and - to me - it's all the wisdom and skill I cultivated at Meng's Martial Arts. Feel free to goggle me, ask questions - I'm an open book. Dojeh, Grand Master Meng. Thank you seems too small a word for the growth, insight, wisdom, care, compassion, friendship, and freedom you've helped me to cultivate over these last 3 decades together and I look forward to at LEAST 3 decades more!

Based in Dayton, Ohio, his school has become the epicenter of the original Shaolin Wing Chun System in the United States including being the curator of the Ving Tsun museum.
