  We travel an hour for the best! When we looked for Jiu Jitsu clubs for our daughter we looked at all of them, but the one that stood out from the rest was Melbourne Jiu Jitsu Academy. For the last 3 years, we have lived quiet far from the academy, but the travel is well worth the training. Ivan has created an environment for kids to learn, push themselves and be the best version of themselves physically and emotionally in a safe, supportive and inclusive place. From values of the month to individually encouraging the kids and going above and beyond to support their Jiu Jitsu goals, Ivan and his instructors have shaped our daughter into a kind, respectful and fierce Jiu Jitsu student.

  I started when I was really young and I have grown so much confidence, this has become my home away from home and my number one passion. best decision I ever made to come here. The professors create such a beautiful environment and we are all like a big family here.

  My son Bulut has been attending MJJA for almost 2 years now. He is 7 at the moment. I am so happy I have enrolled my son here for so many reasons. At every lesson not only do they teach self-defense, critical thinking, self confidence and much more , they also emphasize so much on respect, good discipline, and always show our kids how to form great habits for better living. I've had moments where my son was being difficult with other kids at school, and having one on one's with Ivan has been a tremendous help in his behaviour. He loves both his teachers Ivan and Rafael, and always looks forward to meeting on the MAT :) Highly recommend *****

  Starting BJJ was one of the best things I’ve done for myself. Melbourne jiu jitsu academy is amazing. The instructors are skilled and patient, breaking down techniques in a clear way. The atmosphere is friendly, and everyone is supportive, no matter your skill level. The facility is clean and well-equipped, making it a great place to train. I highly recommend it for anyone. Oss

  Our kids have been attending MJJA for the past 7 months. Watching their confidence grow has been amazing. MJJA is a place where your kids will learn Jiu Jitsu at a high level but also principles and life skills. A Family atmosphere, we couldn’t imagine our kids anywhere else.
