My sons have started training over a year ago and so far the journey has been fantastic. Ash, is not only skilled and passionated but also manage the classes perfectly. Lessons are structured, the atmosphere is intense when training.. there is a perfect balance between discipline and fun. Having tried a few club around as I was looking for a physical activity for my 2 sons it has taken a complete different turn and what was just a hobby has become a real passion for them.. and this is without to mention the progress they are making in less time due to the outstanding training they receive. I highly recommend for any parent either looking to introduce their children BJJ or advanced/competitor junior. You won't regret

I cannot express enough gratitude for the outstanding training and positive environment provided by Ash at Mat Ratz. As a parent of an 8-year-old novice, I couldn't have asked for a better mentor for my child's journey in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ). One of the key aspects that sets Mat Ratz Gym apart is its incredible culture within the gym. From the moment we stepped inside, we felt welcomed into a close-knit community of BJJ enthusiasts. The gym fosters an environment of respect, discipline, and camaraderie, which is instrumental in ensuring a fantastic learning experience for kids. Ash, in particular, plays a pivotal role in creating this remarkable culture. His dedication to teaching and his genuine care for each child's progress is exceptional. Ash goes above and beyond to bring out the best in every child, instilling discipline and self-confidence in each young practitioner. One of the aspects I appreciate most about Ash is his zero tolerance policy towards messing around. He maintains a highly structured and disciplined training environment, ensuring that children understand the importance of focusing on their training. This approach not only helps them improve their technique but also cultivates a sense of responsibility and respect for themselves and their fellow classmates. The progression my child has made since joining Mat Ratz BJJ Gym is truly remarkable. Ash's ability to challenge each child at their own pace ensures that they are consistently motivated and excited to learn new techniques. Moreover, Ash's passion for BJJ is contagious. He not only teaches the fundamentals but also encourages kids to embrace the sport as a way of life, Ash equips children with valuable life skills that extend beyond the mats. In summary, if you're seeking an exceptional BJJ gym for your child, Mat Ratz Gym, with Ash as their instructor, is the place to be.
