Excellent classes, great bunch of people & trainers that go the extra mile! Always intimidating walking into a male dominated sport as a female, but the bunch at SBG Manchester were supportive, professional & had great banter! Highly recommend

Been training here for four months now and it's one of the best decisions I've made. I've cancelled my gym membership, the weight loss has been incredible, and I'm in the best shape I've been in for years. I've met some brilliant people along the way and everyone has been incredibly welcoming and friendly. The coaches and staff are fantastic, always approachable and supportive, and the atmosphere they've created is second to none. My kids train here too and they absolutely love it. The kids' classes are excellent and it's great to see the same positive, supportive culture carried through to the younger members as well. Couldn't recommend it enough.

Amazing gym with a great atmosphere. Coaches are knowledgeable, friendly, and really care about your progress. High-level training but welcoming for all levels. Facilities are clean and the team vibe is top tier. Highly recommend for anyone serious about BJJ.

When my son Essa first started at SBG, he was just 15 and understandably a bit nervous since everyone else was an adult. But the trainers—Simon, Josh, Paddy, Chris, and the whole team—welcomed him right in. It's not only a fantastic, family-oriented place where both males and females can train in MMA, Jiu-Jitsu, and more, but it’s also a very safe environment. There hasn’t been a single day he hasn’t wanted to go, and we attend as many sessions as we can. He has nothing but great things to say about everyone there, and we can definitely see him continuing for years to come. We can’t recommend SBG enough!

If you are in Manchester and looking for a gym of a high standard then you must visit SBG! 💯🫶🏻 I love this gym! The trainers are very professional!!! Especially trainer Josh Kelly. Very ambitious, talented guy with a lot of knowledge. Great teacher. I highly recommend it! 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻 I will definitely go back there!

Went and did a lesson with Chris the head coach. Very warm, welcoming and useful tips. Incredible ability to generate pressure on top. Strongly recommended if you're looking for a good BJJ gym in central Manchester

Started my son today on his MMA journey in the child classes. The team very welcoming and the coaching excellent. Great expertise and learning. Was a new / different environment and thanks to Levi and to Jay for patience and encouragement for my son, he got involved and really enjoyed it. Highly recommend!

I joined SBG over a month ago now, and was completely new to BJJ! The team have been very welcoming, everyone has a learning mindset, and encourage new starters to get stuck in/improve. Paddy is an excellent coach and I look forward to training each week 🥋

Great gym, friendly people and amazing classes. Strong potential. Coaches are well trained, giving feedback to all members in the class. SBG is one of the best MMA gyms in the UK if not the world and the Manchester department emits this atmosphere. Would recommend it to anyone.
