Have visited Mamute twice now and learned so much! Bruno was very fun and approachable and an excellent teacher. The gym has a great culture too. Having visited and trained in several BJJ gyms, Mamute seems like a great place to train at all levels of experience.

Mamute Jiu Jitsu is a great place to learn and train jiu jitsu for adults and kids. Professor Bruno is very knowledgeable, a great teacher, and very friendly. Additionally, all the people training there are friendly and welcoming making for a great environment.

My Daughter (7) really loves the program at Mamute Jiu Jitsu! Professors Bruno, Jessica and their master teachers lead the children's classes expertly and are an amazing blend of firm and caring. They really do help kids learn about respect and discipline in a fun environment. It's a great community. We are brand new to all martial arts, and my daughter is loving Mamute Jiu Jitsu way more than soccer, swimming or any other activity she's done! Thank you MJJ!

Awesome place to train. I was in town for just six months and got really lucky picking this gym. Bruno is a great instructor and always keeps the mood light. I love that he'll stay on one set of moves for a full week and just have different variations. It really helped me lock in moves. It also corrected some holes in my game. I was doing my scissor sweep wrong for years and after a week on it here I was catching everyone with it! Also a great thing is this gym has a ton of black belts always training. For a purple belt like me, having access to people a lot better than me is key to growth. Can't recommend this gym more, luckily it's close to my parents home so when I'm in town I'll still get to train there.

I'm a second degree black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. A friend invited me to a 10 am class and it was a great experience. I've been to a lot of jiu-jitsu schools, and Mamute Jiu-Jitsu checked all the boxes of a great jiu-jitsu place. It was very clean, climate control was on the entire time so very enjoyable, students were very friendly with no ego, and the most important the instruction. The instruction was top notch. It is my experience that most school teach jiu-jitsu techniques in how to do way. Example, they teach the steps to do a choke or an arm lock, sometimes the right sometime the wrong. The class I took at Mamute Jiu-Jitsu, the technique was thought the right way in a how to may, but also in a WHY way, so the students learn how to do it but also why we do it like that. That's really rare, and that's the way to do learn jiu-jitsu. I highly recommend this school. Here they teach jiu-jitsu the right way.

Was visiting from out of state, and wanted a good place to train. This is an awesome gym! Great guys to train with! Excellent detailed instruction from Professor Bruno Paulista! And I was watching the kids class beforehand, and Professor Bruno was great with the kids too! I will definitely come here again in the future when I'm in Orange, CA. I highly recommend Mamute Jiu Jitsu!

While visiting California, I had a chance to take one of Professor Bruno’s jiujitsu classes at his Mamute jiujitsu school. Professor Bruno’s instruction was very technical with good details, clear and concise explanations. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. The mats are clean and elevated on a soft platform. I highly recommend Mamute jiujitsu as a place to train in Orange. I hope to visit again!

Professor Bruno is a phenomenal BJJ instructor who has a real passion to teach the art and techniques of the sport with a world class background (literally a world champion!!). We're so blessed his studio moved to our neck of the woods. Our kids are better for having him in their lives and us for having the Mamute family. Thank you Professor Bruno and Instructor Jessica!!

I am from out of town and I stopped by for training for the night. I love the friendly but very respectful atmosphere. The training was very technical down to the small details. Bigger bjj practitioners usually lack details because they can over power opponents but not professor Bruno. I highly recommend the kids class as well. I will 100% come back to this gym everytime I am in the area.

This is an excellent school. Trained here while in town for work. They are all very good trainers and spend individual time helping. They are friendly and it is a very friendly training environment. Next time I’m in town I will train here again.

I visited while in town for work. Professor provides technical instruction, classmates are welcoming, and the gym is clean. The class I attended had belts from black to white, and I got great rolls. Professor was even kind enough to rent me a gi as these days I tend only to travel with my belt. I had a great experience. Thank you!

Excellent martial arts studio that offers jiujitsu classes. The owner relocated to this new location and installed new mats, the space is large and clean, the environment is welcoming and is a great place to exercise and socialize. Highly recommended. There are great restaurants near by as well, Yoshinoya is my favorite and their beef bowls can be found across the street. Perfect for an after training meal.

Absolutely stellar academy. I am in Anaheim temporarily, and I was welcomed with open arms by Mr. Paulista and his students. His teaching is top-notch and he made sure we all understood the techniques he taught and made sure we executed them properly. Aside from the friendly atmosphere and the excellent instruction, it's also a very clean facility with ample mat space. If you live in the Anaheim area or are considering living in or around the city, Mamute BJJ is the academy you must train at.

Very detailed instructions from Professor Bruno "Mamute" Paulista that help beginners build a great foundation quickly. The advanced techniques class will help you expand your game with some very tricky moves and concepts. I've been training with Bruno since 2011. He's very attentive to his students and his detailed instruction makes learning advanced techniques very simple. Students here are friendly and easy going. Coming to class each day is a joy as I get a great workout, see friends, and learn something new.
