unit 5, Holmes Studios, 45 Holmes Rd, London NW5 3AN, UK
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in the heart of North London under head coach Luciano Cristovam, Roger Gracie black belt and World, European and Pan-Am champion.
I’ve had private BJJ classes with coach Beto and honestly they’ve been amazing. He’s an excellent coach! very patient, technical, and able to explain everything in a simple way that makes it easy to understand and apply. Every session is well structured, focused, and tailored to my level, which has helped me improve a lot in a short time.
"I began my BJJ journey here a few years ago with absolutely zero experience, starting at the age of 40. And I can honestly say, I absolutely love it! The Coaches are fantastic, offering great support throughout your learning process, and the community is both welcoming and encouraging. I can’t recommend this place enough—it’s truly a gift!"
I was in london for few days and i was searching for a place where to train. The gym was very beautiful, the teacher and the other people inside were amazing. If you are looking for a place to train this could be a perfect choice. The only thing i didn't like was the fact that you have only one free class and after you have to join the gym, you can't pay for a daily pass.
Rare to find a gym like this with a very high level and also great vibes, ossss 🤙
My daughter and I have been training at Luciano Cristovam BJJ Academy for a while now, and I genuinely can’t speak highly enough of the experience. The coaches are phenomenal—skilled, attentive, and, perhaps most importantly when it comes to the kids’ classes, incredibly warm and patient. The children’s program strikes a perfect balance between discipline and fun. The coaches clearly understand how to engage young students, helping them build confidence and skill without ever making the environment feel intimidating. The teacher-to-student ratio is excellent, so every child gets the attention they need to progress safely and effectively. The space itself is impressive—bright, clean, and even more spacious and welcoming after the recent renovations. It’s a place where you feel comfortable bringing your child, but also somewhere you can challenge yourself and grow alongside them. It’s rare to find a martial arts academy that delivers both technical excellence and a strong sense of community. Luciano and her team have built something really special here. Highly recommend—for kids, for adults, for anyone who wants to train in a truly supportive and high-quality environment.
Excellent I love training here it is a very nice and welcoming environment with an excellent level of coaching also it’s is a fun way of getting and keeping fit everybody is super friendly
Posted 2 years agoI've trained at many Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) clubs, but Luciano Cristovam's academy in North London sets the highest standard by far. I am thrilled to have found this place. The hygiene practices here are impeccable, which is incredibly important in a training environment. They vacuum after each class, and bleach the mats twice a day. Additionally, they enforce students to maintain hygiene, such as washing their gi after every lesson. The quality of the lessons is outstanding. The techniques and rolling sessions are top-notch, and the instructors pay close attention to every student, ensuring no one is left out. Thanks to their guidance, I have seen significant progress in my skills. It's a shame I have to move outside of London, knowing there isn't anything like this elsewhere. I sincerely hope Luciano will open a second branch near me in the future. The LC BJJ app is also fantastic. It's user-friendly, allowing you to book classes and purchase gear easily. You can see how many spots are available, and it makes everything run smoothly. Overall, training here is always a pleasure. The instructors are always motivating and never show frustration or disappointment. They push you forward and help you progress. Highly recommend LC BJJ for anyone interested in BJJ. This place truly sets the highest standards in every aspect.
