We have enjoyed our experience with Lincoln Jiu Jitsu for the past two years. Our son has learned so much and they have instilled confidence and self esteem with my shy guy. They work hard and raise the bar high for expectations and discipline but are kind and supportive and the students rise to their challenge. We can’t say enough about Lincoln jiu jitsu!

The kids started back in March and we’re super grateful with how much they’ve progressed thanks to all the Coaches. What started as just the kids rolling became a whole family adventure now with mom and dad rolling too. This gym does a great job making you feel like family while pushing everyone to be better in BJJ and as people.

I have both of my kids enrolled and they love it. I have nothing but praise for the way Mr. Chuy and Mr. Manny instruct them. The kids have both grown in skill and enjoy the fun atmosphere here. I recommend if anyone is undecided on which Jiu Jitsu gym to join that they give Lincoln Jiu Jitsu a chance, they are world class!! Mr. Chuy and Mr. Manny are excellent instructors

We’ve had such a great experience at Lincoln Jiu Jitsu Academy. The coaches are not only highly skilled but also incredibly patient and encouraging. From the very first class, the environment felt welcoming, structured, and supportive. One thing that really stands out is the strong sense of community the coaches have built ... whether you're brand new or in an advanced class, students of all levels support, guide, and cheer each other on. That kind of culture speaks volumes about the leadership here. As a parent, I’ve noticed such a positive change in my child’s confidence, focus, and sense of responsibility. Jiu-jitsu has become an important part of our child's growth. We’re so grateful to be part of this gym!

Our family can’t say enough good things about Lincoln Jiu-Jitsu Academy. Our two boys, ages 11 and 8, started training here in August 2024. When they first began, they couldn’t even do a push-up. Fast forward to now, and they’re knocking out over a hundred without blinking and getting ready to compete in their first Jiu-Jitsu World League championship. The progress they’ve made physically is impressive, but even more important is the boost in their self-esteem and confidence. It’s also given them a healthy, productive outlet to burn off energy and work through all the emotions that come with being preteens. My husband joined in February 2025, and it’s been just as meaningful for him. The workouts are challenging, the instruction is top-notch, and the community is incredibly supportive. It’s not just a gym, it’s a place where people lift each other up and push one another to be better. Chuey and Manny, the brothers who own and run the academy, have created a truly welcoming environment. They treat everyone like family, and it shows in every interaction. From day one, we felt like we belonged, and that’s something you don’t find just anywhere. If you’re even slightly considering trying Jiu-Jitsu—whether it’s for your kids, yourself, or both—we highly recommend checking this place out. It’s made a huge difference in our lives, and we think it could do the same for you.

If you’re looking for a top-tier jiu-jitsu academy in the Sacramento greater area, Lincoln Jiu-Jitsu Academy is the place to be! Chuy and Manny are truly THE BEST coaches—their passion for jiu-jitsu is unmatched, and they foster an incredible, supportive, and caring culture. From beginners to advanced practitioners, they make sure everyone feels welcomed, challenged, and supported in their jiu-jitsu journey. The environment here is uplifting, team-oriented, and focused on growth, both on and off the mats. If you’re serious about training in an academy that values technique, community, and personal development, this is the place to be. Highly recommend!”

I have been with the Moreno brothers since 2022ish and both of the brothers made an impressionable impact on my Jiu Jitsu. The knowledge and high level teaching from both of them is amazing. They are not your generic plug and play Jiu Jitsu. They will teach you and modify it to adapt to your body type to make it work for you ! If you’re interested in the competitive aspect of Jiu jitsu, these guys will make you believe in yourself and your Jiu jitsu always trying to better you. I have had my fair share of experiences at other gyms and this one by far is heavily invested into their students, REGARDLESS of skill level. I would not go anywhere else. Off the mats , these two brothers are extremely uplifting and supportive going out of their way all the time. Not many do it for the love of the art but these two….. they are committed to better the art.

In 2 months training consistently at Lincoln jiu jitsu academy under the Moreno Brothers, I’ve learned more jiu jitsu physically as well as mentally then I ever did in 6-8 years training at a couple other gyms. All the upper belts are a reflection of how good they are not only as teachers and friends but also as competitors. I’ve witnessed firsthand how close knit this team is and how hard they work is what earned them #1 jiu jitsu gym in the Roseville/Lincoln area , no other gym even comes close.

Just finished up a week at Professor Chuy and Manny's gym, and I've got to say, it was absolutely brilliant. The atmosphere was super welcoming, and everyone—from the coaches to the other members—made me feel welcome. Professors Chuy and Manny really know their stuff, and the training sessions were both challenging and fun. If you're looking for a place with good vibes, top-tier coaching, and a genuine community feel, this is the spot. Highly recommend it! Cheers!

Our children have been actively attending classes 3 days a week since July 2023. I’m so thankful for the experience from the discipline, technical skills, and confidence. The owners have created a great community with such a welcome atmosphere. I personally appreciate their incorporation of different skill levels to make everyone feel capable and empowered. We had thought our journey was over after a really poor experience at a place in Rocklin. I’m so thankful that my husband found Lincoln Jiu Jitsu Academy to turn things around and start our positive journey with jiu jitsu.

My son and I trained at another gym before we found Lincoln Jiu Jitsu. I’m so glad we make the switch. This by far has been a better experience for me and my son. Great family atmosphere, great training. I will never leave.

Our daughter (10) has been training for about a year and a half. We were looking for a place for her to train that was more conducive with our daily commute. A friend referred us to Lincoln Jiu Jitsu Academy and after one week we were sold. My wife and I absolutely love the learning environment that Prof. Chuy creates for the kids. His structure, methods, and attention to individual needs from recreation to competition level training is above reproach. So much so that I tried the adult class and have decided to work it into our schedule. Trying to get the wife to join next! From the adult class to the kids class, he connects everyone as a solid team. As a military family, we will be sad to leave someday, but for now LJJA all day!!!!

We love Lincoln Jiu Jitsu Academy, our son has been going since they opened and he loves it. Professor Chuy is amazing with the kids instructing them on skills that will help them throughout life. The schedule allows for our son to go up to 6 days a week if he wants, could ask for a better place for him to learn and train!!!!

This is a fantastic place to train if you're interested in Jiu-jitsu. Professor Chuy is patient and manages to keep an eye on everything no matter the class size. He's always open to helping people and is generally just a good guy. There are a number of classes offered that can fit just about any person's schedule. The gym and mats are always kept clean (don't think I've seen or heard of a case of ringworm yet). My daughter and I have both been attending since February and it has been a great experience to share with her! Can't recommend this place enough!

I started training last year and had to take time off to heal an injury. When i started again, i was happy to see Mr. Chuy Moreno had a new academy. I started in December and he is very focused on making sure each person gets the attention and development that is right for them, where they are in their journey. I'm a white belt and have much to learn but he's patient, thoughtful and his team is like a family. I always look forward to going to class and encourage anyone who is reluctant to start their BJJ journey to check out LJJA. You won't regret it!

The first BJJ gym in Lincoln! Lucky to have Professor Chuy Moreno! Runs a great family oriented and friendly business. You don’t feel like just a member of a gym, he makes you feel like family and cares about you outside of BJJ. Great instruction and connects well with students of all ages. Def recommend giving this place a try!
