  Our son started at LAMA almost three years ago. We love the sense of community that it has created for him and for us as a family. We appreciate that the instructors have high expectations and standards of their students, and put in the time, effort, and patience to guide them while instilling confidence so that expectations can be met and even surpassed. We love the community involvement of LAMA - just another way of fostering kindness and compassion in their students. Highly recommend!

  I couldn't be happier with my experience here at LAMA . The instructors are incredibly knowledgeable and patient, making sure that everyone, from beginners to advanced students, feels comfortable and challenged. The facility is clean and well-maintained, providing a great environment to train. The classes are well-structured, focusing on both technique and physical fitness. I've also made some great friends here, as the sense of community is strong and supportive. If you're looking for a top-notch karate place, I highly recommend giving this one a try!

  I can’t say enough good things about Lexington’s Academy of Martial Arts (L.A.M.A)! From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the welcoming atmosphere and the professionalism of the staff.   When we moved to Lexington in the summer of 2021, we enrolled our son at LAMA, and it has been one of the best decisions we’ve ever made for him. Coming out of the challenges of Covid, he was incredibly nervous and hesitant to join any new activities. However, from day one, the instructors at LAMA have been amazing. They’ve created a welcoming and supportive environment, consistently encouraging him and helping him build confidence. Over time, we’ve watched him break out of his shell and grow in ways we never imagined. What makes LAMA even more special is how they give back to the community with their incredible free events. We absolutely love participating in them every year, and they’ve become something we look forward to as a family. The way LAMA fosters a sense of connection and generosity truly sets them apart. We couldn’t be more grateful for everything they’ve done for our son and our family.

  LAMA has been such an amazing opportunity for my son. The martial arts classes have helped teach him discipline, focus, and respect and I can see those skills carry over into school and home. He absolutely loves the after school program. He’s made so many friends and says “they are always really happy to see me!” about the kids and coaches. I would highly recommend them to anyone!
