My son has been a part of Legion's (East Nashville) youth jiu jitsu program for a couple months now and he absolutely loves it! Coach Jaysen (along with Professor Alex and Coach Miller) does an outstanding job leading the kids. His technical instruction is fantastic while keeping it simple enough for developing brains to easily digest it. Perhaps more importantly, he has high expectations for each of his students when it comes to working hard, paying attention, and treating coaches and teammates with respect, all while showing that same respect back to those in his charge. We are excited to continue training at Legion and can't recommend them highly enough!

Been to quite a few gyms and Legion is by far the best I've come across. Coach Jaysen and Coach Doug both run respectful, safe, and quality classes that you don't get anywhere else - Which translates to a solid group of guys with no egos and always willing to help you out. Lookin forward to coming back here every time.

I had a GREAT drop-in experience with Coach Doug and the crew. Beautiful mats, high-quality instruction, and tough rolls. Highly recommend checking them out in you find yourself in East Nashville.

I've been going to Legion east for about a year. It's a very welcoming gym and classes have a variety of physical builds and experience levels. The sport is aggressive by nature, but surprisingly I've only run into a few of the "angry guy" types. The instructors are personable and know how to explain the techniques in practical terms. I had no background in wrestling or grappling and no real interest in fighting. Just wanted to get in shape. Here we are a year later and I'm hooked. If you're curious at all, this is a great place to start!

We've been at Legion for a few years now, and we love it here! Friendly, inviting environment. All of the coaches and professors are awesome, knowledgeable and helpful. Additionally, our team mates are always helpful and respectful, a mindset that is very much nurtured by the leadership!
