After training with Laurence for almost four years, I can say fairly confidently that his dedication is hard to match. He has an excellent ability to read people and tailor training to motivate individuals, while still keeping the class united and working together. His lessons are clearly explained, from beginners through to advanced techniques, and the classes are paced to push you. If you’re serious about improving your jiu jitsu, this is the gym to visit. I really enjoy training at Kumo BJJ. Great group of people who genuinely want to help each other improve. Laurence is a brilliant coach and does a great job breaking techniques down and explaining the little details. There’s a great atmosphere on the mats and everyone is friendly and helpful. I’m looking forward to continuing to train and improve here.
