I signed up for this class because I had some incidents where people had been aggressive towards me. From the start I found the class to be very inclusive and friendly whilst concentrating on the fundamentals of self defence without being too complicated. I have learned to be confident in defending myself and will have those skills for the rest of my life now. Shaun is a great teacher who has created an enjoyable yet professional environment in which to learn an important life skill.
Great class, certainly something to strongly consider if you are looking to get fit, regardless of martial arts background or fitness level. Shaun is, and the class as a whole are, welcoming and whatever your goals there is something for everyone here.
Shaun is a fantastic instructor and fosters a welcoming and inclusive culture in his classes, catering to a diverse group of people from all backgrounds and ability levels. I could not recommend these classes enough. I have learnt a variety of useful tips and techniques in dealing with multiple types of threats, built my confidence, improved physically and even made friends. Keep up the great work Shaun!
I have been training with Shaun for around 9 to 10 months. I had no martial art experience at all, but even from the first session I felt more confident in my ability to defend myself. His sessions are beginner friendly and welcoming, as everyone is lovely and kind. Everyone is welcome as well, doesnt matter who you are. There is a good emphasis on training to your own ability so there's no pressure or worrying if you think you're not fit enough you go st your own pace. It's really good for fitness training as well. The techniques are simple to learn and effective which means that you can come to one session and learn something straight away and feel more confident overall. I can't recommend Shaun enough, if in doubt give it a go!

I trained with Shaun for about 10 months and, as someone who has been training in martial arts for about 10 years, I can confidently say that training Krav Maga with Shaun has helped me develop something I hadn't achieved in all that time: street-relevant self-defence skills. Shaun teaches techniques for realistic situations for efficient, effective personal protection. He will even teach you defence against weapons and how to use environmental props such as rucksacks to protect yourself. I would say these classes are perfect for beginners because he strips everything down to basics where necessary, and also for seasoned martial artists because he will constructively critique technique and push you to be better. If you are motivated to feel safe in all kinds of situations, take these classes. You will not regret it.
Shaun is an excellent instructor and makes everyone feel welcome. The training is challenging but enjoyable. There is always a very friendly atmosphere among the group. I learned a lot from the classes as well as them being a very good work out. I'd highly recommend the classes to anyone looking to learn more about self-defence.
Shaun is an excellent instructor with a wealth of experience in teaching unarmed combat. The classes are well structured and provide practical and effective training in self-defence techniques as well as a good medium-intensity workout to build and maintain fitness. The class is very friendly, with a wide range of ages and backgrounds, and readily welcomes newcomers. Overall, learning Krav Maga with Shaun is a very positive experience, and leaves one with a great sense of achievement after every session. I would happily recommend it to anyone.
Top quality training with an experienced instructor and a great group of students. Shaun is very knowledgeable and helpful, breaking down the techniques so that you not only understand the method but can also execute them as a result. You will be amazed at what you can achieve regardless of past experience or fitness level. Having trained Krav Maga previously I was looking for a new club when I moved to Cambridge and I've enjoyed every minute. No egos, great group and ever improving fitness can definitely recommend!!
