I continue to thoroughly enjoy my canne de combat and occasional savate and kali training at CAMA, as I have done for the past eight years. The canne and savate instructors are top-notch martial artists, we trainees receive personalized instruction that is appropriate for our skills level and allows rapid development, and everybody at the club is welcoming and helpful. I have gone from clumsy to coordinated and lazy to training enthusiast whilst training at CAMA, and made some great friends too. I also appreciate how organized Ollie is in setting up and communicating training schedules.
Posted 2 years agoI joined the academy about two months ago and I have really enjoyed the experience. Ollie is very knowledgeable and skilled, as is Morgan (instructors). It is a great learning environment with a good balance between the trainings being demanding and fun. It’s a great choice whether you are beginner or advanced, as you’ll have the unique opportunity to train with all levels, even world champions.
Posted 2 years agoMy daughter loves the savate classes. I think she's getting fitter and faster. Morgan and Ollie are great teachers. I can't recommend it more if you're after an active hour, which cultivates listening, working in pairs, better personal performance.
Posted 2 years agoAmazing, unforgettable experience in martial arts. I learned a lot from my 6-month training here, including Kali stick, bare-hand techniques, and boxing. I had absolutely no experience and a really bad body coordination before joining, but it didn't matter thanks to Ollie and Morgan for their professional and patient instructions. I notice that some reviews mentioned being hit or unfairly treated, but this is NEVER possible in CAMA. We train in a friendly and collaborative manner, in a group of 5 to 10, and practice in pairs with either the teacher or other students - none of them will use violence orally or physically. The training also focuses more on techniques and body mechanics - there is no hard punch or kick at all. In summary, I highly recommend training at CAMA - you will master some skills, do some work out, make some friends, and feel the amazing aspects of martial arts through practice. You'll definitely enjoy your time here.
Posted 2 years agoI've trained with CAMA for over 20 years - and have experience of a number of other martial arts clubs. This is the best I have trained with. It's sad that some have had bad experiences but I simply do not recognise what they are saying I'm afraid; I have learnt (and continue to learn) much from all the instructors and my training partners and would (and do) happily recommend this club to anybody with a genuine interest n martial arts.
