Start training here. Not a belt farm, no BS. Junction is a competition-oriented gym that’s still solid if you never plan to compete. They have four black belts with wins at IBJJF Masters, ADCC Open, and JJIF: high-level masters credentials without needing to be a full-time pro. Promotions are by coach assessment, not time served. Adult classes are popular here, which matters, because kids programs are easier to pack with parents who don’t know what good training looks like. It also clears the usual smell tests: no belt farm, no forced branded Gi, no contracts, free open mats, no pay-your-way-to-black-belt stuff. The culture is encouraging, with the usual expectation that you stay coach-able and listen. If this is your local option, you’re in a good spot. If you're serious about BJJ, stop looking and start training with a free trial class!!!

I enjoy going to this gym a lot. Friendly and welcoming people, the mats are clean, price is good. It’s also beginner friendly - coaches are aware of people with low experience and help out to ramp up. If you’re hesitant like I was at the beginning, just go ahead and try out, you won’t regret it 👍

Junction is such a fun spot. the rolls are hard yet their students are always controlled. Modern and chill attitude with old school wisdom & knowledge. I’ve rolled with a lot of high level people there, with complete beginners in the same room. the owners are amazing black belts and people. The coaches are all high level. The kids coaches are amazing people. Good spot for anyone in the west end. Great open mats on sundays too

Such an incredible welcoming place that cares about the community. Junction Academy will go out of their way to keep it a safe space no matter gender, age, skill level etc. You will be greeted by the community ambassador golden retriever Pika and of course lots of friendly greetings from everyone. They also have a great schedule with jiujitsu everyday along with a fantastic lifting program and a great open mat on Sundays. A great place to start your jiujitsu journey! Don't wait : )

I love Junction BJJ. High level training and very friendly and welcoming atmosphere for all whether you’re a black belt or a beginner. The coaches are very knowledgeable and accomplished. Love training here and recommend to anyone looking for a solid bjj gym.

What a great BJJ academy! I came by for their open mat a couple of times and always leave with more knowledge and appreciation for the sports. The community at the gym is very welcoming to new visitors, they have a large number of female practitioners (!!) and space is kid friendly. Great location, public parking around the corner and most importantly: clean mat space ☺️ If you’re looking to learn BJJ, wrestling, or even self defense, check out the academy!

I feel compelled to share the incredible impact this academy has had on my daughter.🌟🤍 She has been attending this academy for about a year, and in that time, I’ve seen remarkable growth in her. She’s gained confidence, developed positive habits, made new friends, and discovered a strong sense of belonging. She’s also found a meaningful hobby that brings her joy and focus. Before joining, she often struggled to figure out how to channel her energy and time. But now, she’s eager and excited to attend classes, learn new skills, and push herself further. She’s even become motivated to participate in competitions and continue growing in her craft. The coaches at this academy are truly amazing. They take the time to help each student, address their needs, and pour their expertise and encouragement into them. Their dedication has made such a difference in my daughter’s life. Since starting, she’s participated in two competitions. In her first, she earned a bronze medal, and even though it wasn’t gold, it didn’t dampen her spirit. Thanks to the unwavering support of the academy’s coaches, her peers and I she kept striving for more. In her second competition, she earned a gold medal—and I couldn’t be prouder of her. I know her achievements are a reflection of her hard work, the guidance of her incredible coaches, and the positive, nurturing environment this academy provides. There are so many wonderful things I could say about this academy, but if you’re considering it—whether for yourself or your child—don’t hesitate to give it a try. You won’t be disappointed. Great BJJ gym, it has a wide range of options to fit your schedule, good installations and great coaches. It also has open mats so you can get experience from people that train at other gyms. Gym equipment is also available if you would like to train a specific workout routine. And the people are awesome too, overall 10/10

I can’t say enough about how fantastic Junction Academy is. From the moment I joined, I felt welcomed and safe. Everyone is friendly, from the pupils to coaches, especially Annie and Justin! All coaches deliver great instruction and demonstrate care, patience, and excitement in all of their classes. They have far exceeded all of my expectations and I can’t imagine myself training elsewhere. Junction Academy fosters such a great community! I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to start or continue training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. OSS!

Whether you're a total beginner or experienced, you will have a great time learning from the instructors. Justin has a wealth of experience and technical expertise, making even complex techniques easy to grasp. Annie, on the other hand, has a fantastic way of breaking down the fundamentals, ensuring that everyone can follow along and improve. The lesson plans here are top-notch and easy to learn if you put in the time and effort. It is a judgment-free environment with a real sense of camaraderie among the students. I highly recommend this gym.

Cant say enough good things about Junction Academy of MMA! The most friendly instructors, staff, and teammates!! Instructors provide high quality breakdown of techniques to take your martial arts skill to the next level. It is very evident that the instructors care about your progress and success! Super motivating teammates make training so enjoyable. The facility is very spacious and very clean (even the washrooms are spotless!) I always look forward to training here!
