I can’t say enough good things about Professor Jubera and his school. I feel safe and accepted. The curriculum is excellent. Professor Jubera is patient and dedicated to his craft, as well as his students. The other black belts are just as caring and dedicated as he is. I tried other schools around Denver and found myself going back to Jubera time and time again. I have so much respect for him. Can’t recommend enough.

When I was looking for a new school I checked out Jubera BJJ as they had a great schedule and Professor Matt is well known and respected in the BJJ community. I initially sat and observed a couple of classes and was immediately impressed by the level of instruction. The attention to finer details, explanation of concepts and the structure of the classes created a great learning environment. Everyone, especially Professor Matt and Professor Will were very welcoming and friendly. I’ve now been training here for a while and highly recommend it to anyone.

I love this gym so much! I live 3+ hours away so I train here any time I am in Denver for any reason. The professors are highly accomplished and amazing, and they way they break down and demonstrate each technique is so helpful to my training. Murph at the front desk is always welcoming and informative. Every person I have rolled with here has been welcoming, kind.... and an absolute beast. The atmosphere here is impeccable. Every time I take classes here, I consider uprooting my life to move to Denver just so I can train here full time. Lol Thank you guys for letting me be a part of it when I can. Highly highly recommend checking this gym out whether you're a white belt, black belt or anywhere in between!!

A BJJ gem! We took our 4 year old to some other trial classes, but, once we came here, we knew this was the place for us. Let’s get real, things are not cheap! We wanted to pay for BJJ, not playtime. So often places that offer sports/recreational activities have the kids mess around half the time. This place is structured, fun, friendly, and every single minute is intentional. We feel so happy to have found it and have already seen positive overflow into our every day activities. 100% recommend!!

I got my jiu jitsu journey started several months ago at this school and I can't say enough good things about it! First off, the instructors are fantastic, friendly and very knowledgeable about the sport; as far as I've seen in 7ish the months I've been attending, all of the adult classes are taught by black belts who are great at communicating with all levels. Second, the community here is AMAZING! Everyone I've spoken to and rolled with here is extremely friendly and takes safety very seriously. The instructors have done a great job in fostering an environment in which people can ask questions and get better at the sport in a safe way. Third, cleanliness is taken seriously here, which is something that's very important to me. If you're close to Broomfield and are thinking about joining a BJJ gym, you should definitely try out Jubera Brazilian Jiu Jitsu!

I have been doing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for almost 20 years, and have trained at schools all over the country. Jubera Jiu-Jitsu is among the best I have ever been to. The space is immaculate, the level of skill is extremely high, which is no surpise considering the quality of teaching is some of the best I have experienced, and the community and culture is exactly what you would expect at a world-class academy. I teach and train at another prominent Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu school in the Denver area, and am writing this review because of how important Matt, the owner and head instructor at Jubera Jiu-Jitsu has, has been in my development as a practioner, martial artist and person. Matt, is one of the best teachers, mentors and martial artists I have had the good fortune learning from and if you or your family are anywhere near his school, you shouldn't just take my word for it, but should go see for yourself. It will change your life, because he certainly changed mine.

I did a month, maybe 7 sessions. Ultimately, my work schedule and commute, didn't flow together with their schedule. But I took a class from most of their instructors. Everybody was super knowledgeable and encouraging and engaged with me and they learned my name. Super good vibes. I didn't get hurt. They didn't make me buy their gi. I had a great time. I would highly recommend to anyone thinking about starting bjj.

Professor Jubera could have sold me on signing him up for classes but instead was honest about the fact that he was not quite ready yet. This showed so much about professor Jubera's character and integrity! So instead, I decided to sign myself up and have been practicing for just over 2 months now. The culture at Jubera jiu-Jitsu is beyond amazing. Everyone is warm, welcoming and eager to help you learn. So lucky to be able to train here now that I live in Broomfield. Professor Jubera and all of the instructors for that matter have been top notch. I always have a great workout here, even coming back from a shoulder injury. Not a lot of ego in the training room, and I have yet to train with someone here who I haven't been able to learn something from. The gym is always looking for feedback, adding new classes and there's always something new going on, which keeps the training fresh. I moved from Iowa to Colorado in June of 2020 and started shopping around for Jiu-Jistu gyms. I trained for a couple years at Iowa City Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Jason Clarke, and he recommended I check out Matt Jubera's gym (they both are Rebeiro/Six Blades affiliates). It was a very smooth transition going from ICBJJ to Jubera JJ. Both Matt and Jason know each other well, so it helped to have that connection when transitioning from gym to gym. The instructors are awesome, no egos, everyone is looking out for each other to improve each other. I highly recommend this Jiu-Jitsu gym if you want quality training, discipline, and learning.

We started with my daughter training here. After watching from the sidelines for a couple years, my younger kids and I all joined too. They do an amazing job with the kiddos. They definitely keep it fun. Also, all the women are so supportive and I am in love with BJJ now. Currently they are doing online zoom classes and those are great too. Coach Will Forbes, Hanna Forbes, Coach Finn and Coach Cody are class act people that you can feel confident are positive elements in your child's life. I have been a wrestling coach and teacher for nearly 20 years and have seen the powerful impacts that competent, engaging and caring coaches have on young people. The level of instruction in Jiu Jitsu, general physicality, nutrition, emotional and social development adds a depth far beyond learning a martial art. As an active adult in the program, I look forward to training and improving myself each week. I was referred to the Jubera Jiu Jitsu from another world respected Jiu Jitsu Professor who has an academy in Boulder, Colorado. The level of coaching at Jubera Jiu Jitsu is remarkable. As a beginner I have been welcomed by the other students and staff. NEVER have I felt out of place, intimidated, or overlooked. Professor Jubera and his remarkable staff are seemingly everywhere during instruction and training. I can honestly say that this school is by far one of the best i've trained at!! I was only there for 3-4 months but the impact and teachings that Professor Jubera had on me will remain for years to come. His teaching style is perfect! I wasn't training that long the first time I found myseft at Jubera BJJ but even as a 4 strip white belt I could see and tell a major deffernce in his teaching style. Professor Jubera was very friendly, helpful and understanding of a young felmale green horn. I was luckly enough to train under him for a short period of time. In that time I felt my game jump leaps and bounds!! I was even able to earn my blue belt under him :) If I didn't end up moving out of the state I would abosulty be a student for life. And I will definetly make sure whenever im back in town for a visit to see my favorite Professor!!

I started 4 months ago with plenty of energy but no experience. This academy is full of humble, patient students that keep a great attitude, this is expected from the top down. Professor Jubera is careful to ensure the details of each drill are followed and the results are amazing. This experience has been better than expected, the sport is remarkably fun whether your goals are self-defense, fitness or the challenge of playing chess with the body. I can't say enough good things about Professor Matt Jubera. I have read about his accomplishments and decorations. I was not expecting to learn from someone so approachable and fun. He is careful to bring each of his students up to a better level. With his patience and honest feedback I have learned the holes in my game and am slowly moving into being a Jiu Jitsu practitioner. My game has moved from being a spastic defender to a more aware and smooth thinker on the mat. I have a long road ahead but this is the way to learn it.

I was fortunate enough to have the privilege of training with Professor Jubera while visiting Broomfield on business. I'm always nervous about walking into a strange environment but I was put as ease immediately with a very welcoming greeting from the professor. Although I only have 3 years experience in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, I do have over 30 years experience in martial arts, and I do think I can recognize talent when I see it. Professor Jubera has the goods. Not only is he extremely talented and skilled, it became apparent he has the attributes of a great teacher; the desire to make people better, empathy, and the ability to articulate concepts in a way they can be consumed easily (even by a slow learner like me :) ). His martial spirit also shines through in his students. They too made me feel very welcome while pushing me to my limits on the mats. The gym is spacious with good parking and plenty of mat space. In almost 10 years in the sport, Matt Jubera is one of the best instructors I've ever had the pleasure of studying under. He's not just a nice guy and Colorado's most decorated BJJ competitor, he's an amazing instructor with an uncanny ability to provide just the feedback you need to get you to fully understand the thoroughly modern and effective BJJ techniques in his curriculum. Professor Jubera is not just a great teacher, he's an active competitor who is known throughout the state for his abilities on the mat. His own instructor, Xande Ribeiro, is a multiple-time world champion competitor in BJJ, and Xande himself has said that of all his black belts, Jubera's game is most like his own. Matt takes care to ensure that new students feel welcome and the academy itself is super clean and has a fun, family-friendly atmosphere. I would definitely encourage anyone who is in the area who is considering trying BJJ for the first time (or even anyone who has been doing BJJ for a while and wants to take their game to the next level), to go check out Jubera Jiu-Jitsu today!

Professor Jubera is truly a rare talent when it comes to his knowledge of Brazilian Jiu Jistu, as well being one of the top instructors in the state of Colorado. His level of understanding of the sport and the way he transfers it to his students, from beginner to advance students, is remarkable and hard to beat. coupled with attention to detail and specific one-on-one instruction makes him one of a kind. He has also set a very welcoming and friendly environment, allowing students of all levels to feel at home which allows students to really excel and feel free to be able to learn from Professor Jubera as well as gain a great experience from his students. I have had the pleasure of working with Professor Jubera in both his all levels and advance classes and it has been an amazing experience. A great instructor and a nice guy overall, totally worth checking out!

I am probably Professor Jubera's most inconsistent consistent student. When the gym first opened up I took about two lessons within a span of two weeks. After those two weeks, my performance increased in a way I never thought could happen and I was immediately hooked on his lessons. The way the Professor teaches is very good too. With a combination of easy-to-understand techniques and a personable attitude, the material taught is not just easily retained but also very informative. He monitors each student as well to make sure everybody understands and is able to apply each technique. Jubera Jiu-Jitsu is definitely one of the best places to train in Colorado.

There is no better place to train Brazillian Jiu Jitsu than Jubera Jiu Jitsu. They have amazing programs with top notch instruction from Professor Matt Jubera. I would recommend this Academy for anyone seeking a reputable lineage with a true Jiu Jitsu experience .

While traveling through the Denver area, I dropped in for a Saturday class with Matt Jubera at his new gym in Bloomfield, CO. He was super friendly, taught an awesome class, gave lots of 1:1 instruction, and the overall atmosphere at the gym was ideal. The facility is brand new, new mats, very clean, well lit, and had quite a bit of mat space. I come from a Ribeiro gym in Ohio and currently train at Drysdale's in Las Vegas and highly recommend Jubera's place. I will definitely be back any and every time I travel through!

Jubera Jiu-Jitsu is an awesome place to train whether you are a beginner or have prior experience. Everyone there is patient and eager to train to better themselves, one thing of the many things I love about jubera jiu jitsu is that if you are a beginner and want to work on something you learned or want to perfect a move you love none of the advance people in the class will have an issue with helping you. So learn some jiu- jitsu at Jubera, have fun, and get stronger than you were yesterday.

Our son attended this school for almost 2 years. Got to a solid grey belt. At first it was ok. Out of nowhere, without any communication or warning we received a called from owner saying our son is no longer allowed to come back to classes because he was too rough with other kids. Our son was devastated and couldn’t understand their decision. Yes, our son takes it seriously and trains hard. He does wrestling and other martial arts. To not receive any communication or discussion felt really unprofessional. This is not a serious school for kids looking to really train Ju Jitsu. More of informal introduction. So many kids at different levels with not enough teachers. Our son has been enrolled at Gracie Barras does the road for a year, run by Brazilian professional teachers. Much better school with a more proper training system and focus. Our son is never seen as too rough here and is celebrated for his skills and athleticism.
