I’m from out of state in Utah. Did a free trial class here and it was great. Everyone was really nice and the professor was very helpful when drilling. When I visit again I will be going back.

Great vibes at this gym!! Professors are welcoming, attentive, and engaged. You can tell that they cares about their students, the bjj community, and providing high level instruction. The gym is clean and has lots of parking. The students are friendly and positive. No ego here. Jiyu is a great place to train for people in any stage of their bjj journey, my family highly recommends them!

Jiyu is a quality, safe, and welcoming place to train! It was very clean. I came in for an open mat, and Professor Ron provided amazing advice based on his observations. All the students were welcoming and nice as well. Definitely coming back!

Best place for your kids to train Jiu Jitsu in SCV! My son (age 11, and daughter, age 5) train there. We were looking for a school to train at after trying all the gyms in SCV and are grateful to have found Jiyu having it recommended by neighbors and friends. My son said, "I have learned more here than any other school he has been to" and he is having fun doing it. He is happy to have found a home for his training. There are kids that challenge him in different ways and he is learning a lot. They have white belts, grey belts of different ages and yellow belts, and open mat Sunday for anyone wanting to train. They have classes focusing on the advanced students which goes beyond the fundamentals. Whether you are a beginner like my daughter who just started, or advanced, this is a place that will create a fun and safe learning environment and will push your child's growth and confidence. Why Jiyu? Quality training, safe environment, Best Value and Culture! Jiyu has the most generous trial period of any other school in SCV, and various promotions and discounts available. One thing you will feel coming to Jiyu is the culture is inviting, no pressure sales. They have a number of Black Belts there teaching the class with other belts to help. Every month they have a friends and family day where your child's friends or family can get on the mat and show what they are learning in a fun way.

I was in the area for a short while, and trained at the academy during my stay. The instruction was outstanding, I enjoyed positional rolls to improve specific skills, and the overall atmosphere was great with friendly training partners and professors!

I LoVe it at Jiyu Bjj! The most down to earth Martial Arts gym in Santa Clarita! The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and patient with everyone, especially with new students. The passion they have for their art really shines through in their daily teachings. They've created a welcoming environment where you always feel like you belong. Unlike other local schools/gyms, there's NO intimidation, NO Drama and NO Cult! The Jiu Jitsu program is an evolving one, its foundation ranges from Classic to Modern Bjj styles. Other available programs include; Boxing, Fitness & Karate. Classes for kids and adults. The kids Jiu Jitsu program is unlike any other, where the kids actually have fun!! The Professors and coaches really have a way with getting through to the kids! Come by and see for yourself! I've been training Jiu Jitsu for the last 16+ years. During that time, I've trained at a couple other gyms and they don't compare in regards to ethics, teachings, cleanliness, environment & respect level. My teammates are seriously the best people! Honestly, this place is absolutely amazing. Every day when I walk in everyone welcomes me with a smile, this place is more than ann academy it’s a place where you meet amazing friends, coaches and professors. I see everyone as a mentor because I take every single tip from them for me to remember in the future. I wish I would’ve sign up before but now that I’m here I look forward to learn from every single one every day. And give the best of me.

The place is amazing with teachers that will help you every step of the way, one of them is Ron and he’s an awesome teacher and person, the students are great and very friendly, at the end of the hour they (Students) will ask you to roll with them, so you’re getting 1 hour and then 30 minute or more, extra to roll with someone. I’m highly recommend.

Went for an evening class and it was my first time doing jiujitsu so I was pretty nervous but everybody was so nice and other students took the time to explain things and drill everything extra slow so I would get it. Definitely will hit up Jiyu again when I come back to California!

I came to Jiyu for their women's self defense class and had a great time! I don’t consider myself a very strong person so I was worried this would be a challenge for me. The coaches and professors were all so helpful and I was surprised with how much I was able to accomplish after just one class. I’m looking forward to taking another class and bringing some friends!

Had a really great experience at Jiyu. Professor has a really great approach that’s different from other jiujitsu gyms I’ve been to. He actually has a curriculum which is great for people new to the sport. I’m definitely going back, thanks Jiyu!

Such an amazing Brazilian Jiu-jitsu school in Santa Clarita. Ray, Jen, and Ron are seasoned veterans and great BJJ instructors which is hard to find. They truly care about their members. Everyone is super welcoming. Overall great place to train.

This place is amazing if you want to learn a new skill set. Professor Ron is great and truly wants you to succeed. The Brazilian jiu jitsu has a fun adult class that ranges from new learners to experienced people. They have a fun atmosphere and will guarantee that you will make new friends. Definitely worth it cannot recommend it enough weather you want to compete, learn something new, or just find a fun way to get exercise. This is the way to go!

I've known professor Ron for almost a decade and I'm still amazed how he keeps learning and adding to his Jiu Jitsu technique and ability to teach it. The school is always clean and everyone is welcoming, friendly and dedicated to learning the great martial art, Jiu Jitsu. Highly recommended!
