I attended morning Jiu-Jitsu classes at this place. I took classes once or twice a week for about three months, and I was very satisfied. The coach was kind and taught professionally. Actually, I could only do Jiu-Jitsu in the morning, but this place is a bit far from where I live. So I thought a lot about whether I should take classes here. However, after taking the classes, I was very satisfied. The classes here were a bit different from what I learned in Korea. In Korea, takedowns are not taught very well. Even if they are taught, they are not considered important because they can lead to injuries. But here, I was able to learn both Judo-style and wrestling-style takedowns. Of course, I also learned other techniques. Not only were the coaches great, but the people I trained with were also kind and hardworking. Since I am a beginner, I sometimes struggled to execute techniques properly and keep up with the class, but they kindly helped me. Right now, I am not attending this place. I am currently taking care of my child, and my workout schedule depends on my wife’s schedule. At the moment, I can only take evening classes, so unfortunately, I am training at a Jiu-Jitsu gym closer to my home. The gym I go to now is not bad, but my experience at the previous place was so good and helpful. If I get the chance, I would love to train there again. I am very grateful for everything, and I hope I can return someday to train again.

My son has loved coming here for every class since his trial. He participates 3/4 times a week at 5 years old. He rather come here than go to school. Highly recommend for any parent interested in getting their child into any form of martial arts

One of the best gyms around, I visit nyc from upstate NY and this is one of my fav places to train here. The coach is very knowledgeable and friendly, and so are all the training partners. A good environment for growth and fellowship, 5 star gym would recommend anyone to check it out.

I chose this gym after trying out a few others in Manhattan and Queens. Compared to the other places, it offered the best balance of having a beginner friendly environment while also being intentional/serious enough to really learn and improve. For example, many folks who train jiu-jitsu here also participate in local tournaments (a trait I was looking for) but also there's no pressure to compete (which is useful as a beginner). The professors and coaches are generous, knowledgeable, and engaging. The other members that I've encountered here have been friendly and incredibly supportive of my journey. The class sizes are small enough for you learn/ask questions but diverse enough, in terms of relative experience and body type, to get an enriching experience. I also chose this gym because even though jiu-jitsu is the main focus, they also offer Muay Thai and mixed martial arts (MMA) classes which makes it great for anyone else who is interested in learning/honing both striking and grappling techniques. They also offer other classes that can help you get/stay in shape and support your martial arts training (i.e., Yoga and weighted strength training). Overall, great place to train. If you live in Queens or don't mind the commute to Jackson Heights, I'd definitely recommend this gym. Tambien, se hablan español
