  I trained at JBS for a little over a year before I unfortunately had to move away from the area for work. I rarely leave reviews, however Jo, Sam and all the instructors deserve nothing but the highest praise! JBS offer a family orientated inclusive environment, making sure people of all levels and ages are welcome. Despite being a beginner in my 30s, I was always supported and learnt so much, whilst massively improving my fitness. All the members are helpful and friendly, and I was very fortunate to have some excellent and patient training partners, who always took the time to help me out. JBS truly is an exceptional training environment, and I would encourage anyone to give them a try, whether your goals are to compete or simply learn some self-defence whilst getting fitter and making some new friends.

  My sons been coming to JBS for over a year now. His confidence has shined through due to the club bringing it out in him especially controlling his emotions in a safe way in and out side the club. Lovely family built club, Which shines through her children always there to give a helping hand with children who attended the club, Who are not so confident or having a bad day they bring so much joy. That’s always lovely to see. That’s what made me bring my son back the second time knowing he has a helping hand from children not just the adults. My son has achieved so much over the last year as a mother I’m very thankful to Jo and all her team! Yasmin x

  My son started here last May, he was nervous, shy and very withdrawn in the classes. Had it not been for the instructor Jo and the amazing family team she has, and the other kids from some of the other older groups I dont know how my son aged 4 would be now. He is confident, learning to be disciplined, and learning every time he comes with progression and a determination to want to be better. The young helpers have been an absolute credit to Jo and the company and I can confidently say that I am extremely happy with the professional service that is provided.

  My daughter has trained at this club from pretty much day 1 of them opening. Over the years I have seen her flourish. She has become a confident, respectful and talented individual and that is all down to the top class coaches. They have turned her into a world champion in the sport and created something that she loves to do. The coaches here are brilliant with the children, they create a fun and enjoyable atmosphere for them whilst learning the discipline at the same time. I cannot rate this club highly enough. They are welcoming and provide excellent facilities for training, for both kids and adults.

  JBS is a great club if you're thinking of getting your child involved in martial arts. My son has been coming here for about 8 months and he has progressed alot since he has started. Jo the main coach is brilliant with the kids as are Ethan, Beth and all of the kids that help with the teaching. Many of the kids have various titles so this shows how good the teaching is and how hard they work. Would definitely reccomend giving it a go you will not be disappointed.
