I just wanted to say how much I appreciate Combat Athlete / Alento BJJ. The team, especially Gav, Tristan, Corin, and Sam, has been amazing with my son. Before he joined CA & Alento BJJ, he was having a tough time at school, getting into a lot of conflicts and acting out. But since he started at the gym, he's really turned things around. The program's emphasis on respect and discipline has made a huge difference. The supportive, family-like atmosphere is truly fantastic, and the training is top-notch. He always talks about how much he loves his training sessions and how excited he is about his progress. He's even competed nationally for the gym, and the coaches have been incredibly supportive every step of the way.
I have been training for 11 years. One of the best things I’ve done. Great atmosphere. Everyone helps everyone else, no egos. All ages in the gym including old men (me). So no excuses give it a go!

I’ve been training BJJ at Combat Athlete Telford for over a year, and I couldn’t be happier. The atmosphere is genuinely outstanding, everyone is welcoming, supportive, and easy to get along with. The coaches are very approachable and professional. At the same time, it’s a highly competitive gym where people push you to improve without ego or nonsense. If you’re looking for a place that motivates you to progress, surrounds you with great people, and maintains a serious level of training, this is it. Absolutely recommend it.
I can't recommend combat athlete highly enough! Gav and the team have done wonders for my two sons 13 & 15. They used to fight like cat and dog but now its controlled, disciplined with respect for each other. BJJ has grounded my once ferrel teenagers lol (no pun intended)
Everything about this place is five stars, the instructors, group and lessons. If you ever have any questions they are extremely responsive, in class and online.

I was looking for something like a Gym so tried a session at a local Gym and couldn't decide whether it would hold my interest so I tried a taster session at Combat Athlete. Having never done anything like a Gym ever before, I was putting myself totally outside of my comfort zone however I've been a member for over a year now. I highly recommend Combat Athlete. They have excellent and professional coaches and they have a great bunch of people that attend on a regular basis too. The Gym at Combat Athlete is very well set up and well equipped too. They cater for all ages too, there are kids and adult classes. Why not arrange a taster session free of charge.

Have been going to combat athlete BJJ for about 3 months as have my two children 12 and 7. Personally I think the classes are excellent. Gav and Tristan are excellent instructors at adult and child level. The kids always look forward to going which has not been the case with other martial arts they have been to and I can see them learning and growing in confidence every week. Gav and Tristan always make an extra effort with them to keep the sessions interesting and fun. As for me the more I go the more I enjoy it. It’s a useful life skill and excellent fitness. It can be a bit daunting at first and there is so much to learn but it is very rewarding. All the members are friendly and helpful and the gym has a brilliant atmosphere.
