I came along to a women’s charity open mat yesterday can genuinely say this is one on the best JiuJitsu Academies in the UK. Beginners to European Champions… All are welcome. From the minute you walk through the door you are met with open arms. There is a very warm and enthusiastic vibe that’s infectious as everyone I spoke to and rolled with were buzzing to be there. The owners and coaches were so supportive and there on hand to answer any questions or just to chat. Whether Jiujitsu’s is just your hobby or your on a mission to become the a world champion… There’s a place for you at Jay Bulter BJJ. I will definitely be back as soon as possible. 🙏💕🔥

Best Brazilian Jiu Jitsu club around! We tried a few surrounding clubs for our 2 boys (one of whom is autistic) and little girl, and none came close to the family atmosphere and incredible teaching at Jay Butler. They have not only trained our kids to winning gold, silver & bronze medals at many UK competitions but given them bundles of confidence, resilience and respect! Coach Jay creates a fun and friendly environment for the kids & Mikayla makes all the parents feel part of the family too! If you’re debating looking elsewhere.. don’t waste your time! So grateful to have been part of their journey and can’t wait to watch the club dominate with some mega talented kids! Thanks for everything team!

I bring my daughter here... We drive 1 hour each way and we do that for a good reason. Jay and his team not only coach to a high level, they genuinely care for the well being of each and every kid in there. They will get the best out of your kids whether they have ambitions of competition or just learning self defence. Can't recommend this gym highly enough. JP

My little girl joined Jay Butler BJJ a few months ago and she absolutely loves it! The club has a welcoming, family feel and the coaches are amazing—Jay and the team really understand how to teach children. They’re stern but fair, and truly passionate about what they do. The teaching is not just about physical skills, but also resilience, confidence, discipline, and life lessons that stick—my daughter just turned 5, and she stays engaged the entire class. She even comes home quoting Coach Jay. Highly recommend it to any parents looking for a positive, empowering environment for their kids.

Moving to Yateley with my partner and starting a new job, I was really missing my sports and gym.. Didn’t really know anything about BJJ, I saw the club in Yateley and dropped them a message. The first class was free to try. Walking in I was nervous, a martial arts club.. I didn’t have any experience and had no idea what to expect.. This was honestly one of the best experience being welcomed into the room. Members were welcoming and made me feel at ease, you can see ego is left at the door.. the instructor Jay was fantastic, welcomed me, was demonstrating some technical looking moves to a class that clearly had some skill, Jay still came up to me during the class and made recommendations and adjustments to the same level as the skilled members. Brilliant experience! I will be joining and already looking forward to next class.
