  After nearly a year of training at the Jake Makenzie School of Jujitsu, I can confidently say this is one of the best training environments you’ll find. The gym is consistently clean, the atmosphere is both professional and motivating, and the level of coaching is exceptional. Jake, Melissa, and Janito each bring a deep level of knowledge and attention to detail that makes a real difference in your progression. You’re not just showing up you’re constantly improving. It’s clear they genuinely care about their students and the standard they maintain on the mats. If you’re looking for a great place to lean this skill look no further! You won’t be disappointed

  After attending many of Jake’s seminars I was finally able to visit his academy in Halifax. It is a very nice, clean and spacious facility. Jake and his team were incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming. I look forward to going back soon!

  Excellent experience here. The culture and environment is super safe and beginner friendly - in addition to being led by a world class black belt and the most successful Canadian competitor. If you’re in the area def stop by!! Not to mention Jake’s wife Melissa is a high level black belt.

  First time training out of province and Jake’s gym made us feel right at home. We dropped in for a lunchtime class, picked up a few new skills, and really enjoyed the energy. We had our little ones with us, and the kids’ area kept them happily entertained with plenty of toys (a thoughtful touch for parents). Highly recommend if you’re in the area!
