The Halifax BJJ Society is Atlantic Canada's largest martial arts academy. We are Halifax, Nova Scotia's first non-profit Brazilian Jiu Jitsu gym. Offering classes for all skill levels, from Morning to Night, seven days a week. Our mission is to provide world-class training in a friendly, clean, and safe environment where everyone feels welcome regardless of age, sex, size, or affiliation. We are passionate about Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and want to make it more accessible. This is why we created a non-profit society—it's a community endeavour where you will feel at home. Great club and atmosphere! Coaches are great with kids and a true family feel in the club. Kids get great instruction, make new friends and develop discipline and confidence. Would 100% recommend for anyone to try.

Such an excellent experience. We stopped in with our son while we were visiting Halifax. He participated in the 11–14 year old group. If we lived in Halifax, this would be where he would train full time. Thanks for having us.

Both my daughters have been training here. The facility is clean and organized, the coaches are patient and knowledgeable. The older kids are welcoming and helpful to the newer ones. I would highly recommend them.

Halifax BJJ is by far the premier Jiu Jitsu gym in not only Halifax but Atlantic Canada. They have the best training schedule, the best coaches, the best atmosphere/community. Also if you don't want to strictly do Jiu Jitsu they have MMA, and Muay Thai classes. They even have a strength training area for anytime use to work on your fitness. Save yourself the search and just sign up. You won't be disappointed!

I had the pleasure of visiting Halifax BJJ Society with my wife this past summer on a trip to the East Coast. The staff and student base were very welcoming, the training was excellent, and the vibe was top notch. We had a blast with everyone on our visit, and they were kind enough to even lend us gis to help us with the challenges of jiu jitsu laundry while on vacation! The class schedule seemed well balanced for beginners and experienced students, the front desk was transparent when I asked about price points for memberships (which were a steal compared to the cost of training at most places we visit), and the level of instruction and training partners was very good. I would highly recommend this academy to anyone in the area looking for a place to train, or for any visitors to Halifax and the surrounding communities!
