As someone completely new to the sport when joining this gym, everyone here has made me feel very welcomed and supported. All the instructors have been extremely kind and patient when I've needed any extra guidance during classes. There's also an incredible women's only class that I highly recommend to get started!
I'm new to this gym and LOVING it. I am not someone that has done any sport like this, so my new addiction to jiu jitsu is surprising but it's a really great workout and so fun. The coaches here are incredible & patient. I like the variety of times and classes they offer and I'm confident in the cleanliness of the facility. Thank you Matt & Raina and team!

Impact Sherwood has been my home gym for 12 years. We have a very supportive family atmosphere. Our Women's Only program is awesome and we invite all to train with us!
Our son started going here at 3 years old and the coaches have really helped his confidence grow exponentially over the past 3 years. Highly recommend this gym!
If you're looking for a great place to learn jiu jitsu, or for your kids to learn jiu jitsu, i'd highly recommend Impact in Sherwood. Tommy and Lauretta have done an excellent job of building a gym that's inclusive and family oriented, while creating a group of students and practitioners that are some of the sharpest around. Whether you're looking for Gi or NoGi, this is the place for you.
I have been a member for about 3 years and it has changed my life. This is a Gym designed for you and your family. I highly suggest trying their free week of training. The staff has become a family member to me.
Tommy the head instructor is such a cool guy and he's a BEAST!
If you're new to Jits, they're really helpful and supportive. If you want to train with the monsters, there's that option too, but you should have some experience before you roll with these guys. Some of these guys are former wrestlers, MMA fighters, NAGA champs, these guys can roll.
I come from a very traditional BJJ academy; bowing on and off the mats, calling the instructors, Professor, etc. It's very similar to the Gracie Barra culture. Impact Sherwood is very relaxed and informal, but the training there is the real deal. This academy is legit. Great peeps too!
