When I heard about Haven I had zero martial arts experience and was not sure what to expect for my first class. The coaches and other students were all extremely welcoming and accommodating of my skill level. I look forward to my classes every week where I learn great skills and get a hell of a workout in. I recommend Muay Thai at Haven

Haven is a great place to train regardless of skill level and there is an abundance of people to work with across the board. I’ve been coming to the gym a couple months now and it’s been nothing but a great time. Just know Coach Ben will try to convince you to compete at every chance he gets!

Very welcoming and supportive coaches, as well as the community of people who train here. Great group of guys and gals at every level. Great classes from toddlers to old guys! Training at Haven greatly helped my children to become more confident in themselves not only on the mat but off it as well. Highly recommended.

Haven is a solid place to train regardless your age or skill level. The owner Ben and the instructors are very knowledgeable and welcoming. I havent trained in BJJ for over a decade. Starting again wasn't easy but everyone has been very understanding and encouraging. It has a lot of mat space and it's very clean. They're open 7 days a week, classes at 6am, noon, and evenings. Whatever your schedule, they have a time that will work for you. I would highly recommend Haven Jiu Jitsu. You can thank me later 👍🏻

My son loves coming to classes. The students are all very enthusiastic and have lots of fun. There is a great ratio of coaches to students so lots of focused teaching and help for the kids. I believe Haven's greatest asset is the staff - a group of very passionate and kind coaches who work very hard towards ensuring an excellent overall experience for the kids. Coach Adam is amazing and I am very thankful that my son has him as a coach but also the rest of the team has been a blessing. Highly recommend this place. You will not regret it!

Love our experience so far at Haven! My son has been attending for a couple months now and im impressed by coaches. They create such a welcoming and supportive environment, making it easy for kids to feel comfortable while learning. The instructors are knowledgable, patient, and passionate about what they do. My son loves every class and looks forward to going each week. I think jiu jitsu is a great skill to learn to build self confidence, discipline, and resilience, and this is the place to go to get the best out of your time and money. My daughter will be joining soon, and I plan to start training as well!

If you’re looking for an outstanding jiu-jitsu gym, look no further. Ben, the coach, is phenomenal. His knowledge of the art is deep, his teaching style is clear and encouraging, and he knows how to push you to reach your potential. Whether you’re a beginner or experienced, Ben creates a welcoming and challenging environment where everyone can grow. The gym itself is clean, well-maintained, and filled with a community of people who are supportive and passionate about training. Every class feels like you’re getting better, not just physically but mentally as well. Dropped in while visiting the area. This is not your typical strip mall cramped gym. There is a ton of mat space. Everything is clean from the mats to the locker room and showers. The owner, Ben, is super nice and has created a great training environment. I dropped in on a Friday noon open mat. There were about 20 people there. Ben advised that it was a light day as he normally has almost 40 people at noon. Some guys were rolling on their lunch break from work, while some drove over an hour to train. All belt levels were represented, and numerous competition athletes. Don't let the sign fool you! I highly recommend!!

I cannot say enough good things about Haven Jiu Jitsu! My 5 year old has only been going to Haven for a few weeks but my husband & I have been beyond impressed from the very beginning. Ben was super quick to respond when I initially reached out about signing our son up, and he immediately had us set up a free trial class for the following week and answered any questions I had. When we came in for the trial class, everyone was so welcoming and friendly, it felt like we were instantly apart of the crew. The coaches do such a fantastic job handling so many little kids at once and teaching them the ropes. You can tell they genuinely love what they do and want to be there to help guide these kids. It’s also really nice to see the more advanced older kids gladly help out when needed without hesitation. My son, who is typically a little shy & timid, absolutely loved his first class so much (and was actually upset when the class was over because he didn’t want it to end yet), we immediately signed him up and he’s been loving it ever since. He gets so excited for every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday now. My husband & I are actually considering trying out the adult classes ourselves. The energy is great, the whole team is solid and I highly recommend!!

Haven Jiu Jitsu embodies everything I could hope for in a martial arts academy. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by their professionalism and the welcoming atmosphere created by their knowledgeable and friendly staff. The instructors are not only experts but also passionate about sharing their skills with students of all levels. The facilities are well kept, which is a testament to their commitment to cleanliness. One unique aspect that sets Haven Jiu Jitsu apart is their practice of inviting guest practitioners in for seminars. This allows students to learn from a diverse range of perspectives and techniques, enriching their experience even further. The hours and classes are convenient and there are classes for all ages. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned practitioner, Haven Jiu Jitsu offers a supportive environment where you can grow both physically and mentally. Overall, I highly recommend Haven Jiu Jitsu to anyone looking to explore Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in a welcoming and professional setting

I can't emphasize enough how impressed I am with Haven Jiu-Jitsu! Having tried another gym before, I can confidently say that Haven surpasses all expectations. From the moment I experienced their free classes, I knew this was the place for my family and I. What truly sets Haven apart is their exceptional program, especially tailored for kids. Compared to my previous gym experience, where attention to detail and safety were lacking, Haven provides outstanding support and guidance for both adults and children. Coach Ben's leadership ensures a safe and respectful environment, something I truly appreciate after experiencing a toxic atmosphere elsewhere. His ability to balance competition with safety is commendable. If you're looking for a martial arts program that values excellence and community, Haven is the place to be

Wonderful place for Jiu Jitsu. My son took an intro class here for 6 weeks with other kids. What a great experience. They made it fun for the kids and were a great place to start learning a new skill. My husband was always mentioning having our three boys learn Jiu Jitsu and when I saw this intro workshop I thought it would be perfect. The teachers took time going around the room making sure each kid had a little one on one time during each drill. They emphasized working hard and paying attention, while also realizing it was a kid class with students needing redirection here and there. Such a great experience. We will definitely be back. I have done Jiu Jitsu on and off for the last 8 years and have been to a lot of gyms locally and across the US. Haven isn’t exclusive to competitors, practitioners or hobbyists. There is a class/partner for everyone and the environment is what you make of it. The instructors are thorough and consistent in the technique they teach with a heavy emphasis on competition while also acknowledging the self defense aspects. Whether you want to learn traditional GI Jiu Jitsu or the evolving No-Gi Jiu Jitsu, Haven offers both efficiently with their array of classes. I recommend dropping in for a class and checking it out.

Coach Ben and the Haven team have superseded my expectations. For me, I knew my end goal was to find a place to better my skills and knowledge however being in Wayne County there isn’t many options around. Most places are about 40 minutes away in any direction. I originally chose to stop by Haven due to their schedule. The schedule not only has a plethora of classes but it is 7 days a week and no matter what I knew it would coincide with my schedule. I am glad I made that decision because as soon as you walk in you are greeted by all and feel welcomed. Not only can you see the wealth of knowledge the instructors have but every student and instructor there want to see everyone succeed and become better. The other students were very helpful and the instructors keep it a very relaxed atmosphere which is great for learning. After the first class I knew this is where I wanted to be and didn’t even think of checking out another place. Immediately enrolled to become part of this amazing team of people and am excited for the future!
