Posted 1 year agoGood soft play and decent little cafe. Plenty of parking and you can talk a stroll down the canal if you need a bit of fresh air.
Posted 1 year agoGreat for bring the grandchildren so they can let off a bit of steam. A good price costs £3 per child for a session its around £5 on weekends. Quite a large space for playing always clean but some parts of the frame looks a bit tired. It has a cafe area and plenty of seating. The facility offer party bookings and has a separate room for the kids partys. I would recommend this place 100% to take the kids to.
Use the Indoor bowls hall, two or three times a week, which is a hidden gem at the end of the ground floor corridor. Great use of the space and good mix of all ages playing the sport. Come and have a look!
Posted 9 months agoMy kids loved the soft play area. Only thing that ruined the trip was the 20 minutes it took to get served at the cafe. It was too busy for just one person at the till.. Will bring drinks from home in future.
Posted 9 years agoThe swimming pool was rather run down and had a rather unpleasant smell that wasn't chlorine( staff were walking around with frabreez). the changing facilities had no lockers that actually locked, peoples belongings were left in the changing cubicles or brought into the pool. Overall felt very unhygienic!
Metal posts exposed, moldy food and rips in netting. The soft play is in need of a revamp but I doubt anything will happen given they’ve ignored the climbing walls right beside the soft play for years, what a waste. Children have hurt themselves multiple times on metal posts exposed due to a lack of foam coverage and zip ties sticking out of places where children like to play, not a great idea. The swing ball has been broken for ages now but no sign of it being replaced. Huge hole in netting by the toddler blue slide which means kids could fall through there, no urgency by staff to at least patch it up. Clearly they don’t clean the place often as dust is everywhere if you look, they don’t notice food that’s clearly been there for a few days as the cookie I found was moldy. The cafe in the soft play is over priced in my opinion for what you get, the lunch box for kids is depressing to say the least… rather break the rules and bring my own stuff, the staff don’t say anything anyway so what’s the point of that rule? As the soft play is not manned by staff, kids can do as they wish as parents/guardians don’t care as long as the kids are out of their hair, so expect no foam pieces in the toddler area and perhaps expect a energetic 11 year old to accidentally fall onto your baby/toddler (apparently 11-13 isn’t too old for soft plays which I disagree), even seen teenagers in there climbing the spider web which I find strange but more importantly, dangerous if they fell onto a small child. The place is cheap so yes people will go whether it needs work done or not but if a child ate that moldy cookie or fell through the gaps in the netting or ate the foam that’s gaping out of the ripped foam, it’s an issue…clearly I’m the only one thinking this as there’s no other reviews saying the same. Low standards as they could improve it and make it a nice soft play, get rid of the climbing walls if they won’t be used ever again as I’ve never seen them touched for 3 years… what a waste of space and equipment given that’s something that is appropriate for 11-13 year olds, not a small kid soft play. I’ll expect it to be as worn down in years to come and know not to return, I’ve come here quite a few times but seeing that moldy food, the ripping of foam and coverage in multiple areas, has made me realise that I would rather drive further and go somewhere nicer and safer.
Disgusting!! Smell of urine everywhere. Swimming lessons cancelled twice and nobody called me to let me know. I wouldn't recommend just because for the low price.
My son has been taking swimming lessons since June 2025 and recently he has a shoulder injury and needs 6 weeks off rest and physio so I was looking to pause the payments for one month and I called Cwmbran stadium ( Halo ) to be asked straight away if I had proof of his injury from the hospital and that he needs time off? if I had proof I would be entitled to 50% off for the one month that he would be missing? I said what if I cancelled and rejoined, they said I would have to give 28 days notice so i would have to pay full price anyway. I'm not in a contract or anything as far as I know. My son will miss 6 weeks worth of lessons now and I just think it's really poor customer service for something that can't be helped.
I've had a horrible experience few days back when i took my son for his swimming class and when it was time to shower before swim, there was a grown man taking shower fully naked and with everything fully up. That was a horrible experience with a kid, how can we expect our kids to take shower in a place like that I immediately walked out. Proper and appropriate rules should've been put in place to begin with.
