I’ve been going for a few sparring sessions when I can and the experience has been really positive. The community and the other guys that train regularly, are really supportive and very helpful when coming to learning new techniques and improving in BJJ overall. The coach is also a very good teacher and ensures that he pushes you to your limits in every session. All experience levels are welcome and would definitely recommend joining for anyone who is interested to learn BJJ or to improve their overall fitness.

Came in with no experience, didn’t know anyone, messaged the coach Ryan on social media after years of wanting to do this and was welcomed like I was training there for years. I didn’t know a thing before joining and the patience showed was outstanding. Almost 17 months later & I still haven’t left or wanted to skip a session 😂 I recommend Jiu Jitsu to anyone, especially Bettws & Malpas BJJ.

Perfect place to train if you don’t mind hard rolls, a sense of community & real black belt level coaching (produces British champions - see attached)

I'm 33 year old, I've never trained in martial arts before, I first attended one of there classes a round 7 months ago. I've been going every week ever since. Everyone in the class very helpful, friendly and genuinely has an interest in helping you better than you were last week. The coaches are knowledgeable and acticulate when showing new techniques and pointing out where you could improve. I'm a heavy set chap and dont have the flexibility for some manuovers and Ryan will also show other ways I can get around this. I couldnt reccommend this place enough, I feel 5 stars doesn't doesnt do justice to how high I rate this club.

The coaches are brilliant, the atmosphere is welcoming, and everyone is friendly right up until they start trying to choke you, which is apparently "part of the experience."
