My wife and I dropped in during our stay in Glenwood Springs. Very welcoming environment, great instruction, and fun rolls. If you're in the local area or just dropping in definitely check them out!

I've been attending this martial arts gym for a few years now, and it's truly become a second home. Coach Thomas is not only a talented instructor but also an incredible leader. His commitment to building a strong, inclusive community is evident in everything he does—especially in how he’s grown the youth program. The kids' classes continue to thrive, and it’s amazing to see so many young people engaged in something so positive and constructive. This gym is more than just a place to train—it’s a safe, welcoming environment where people of all ages can learn, grow, and support one another. There’s no ego, no drama—just a group of individuals dedicated to bettering themselves and each other. Injury prevention is clearly a priority, and everyone does their best to train smart and safely. If you're willing to show up consistently, stay open to learning, and push yourself, you'll absolutely fall in love with the sport and this community. I can't recommend this school enough.

I recently came to Glenwood for a week to visit family and dropped in to Ground Zero for a few classes. I was completely blown away by the quality of instruction as well as the welcoming atmosphere from every one of the students. The small class size allows for more individualized instruction and the range of experience among the students provided varying degrees of challenging rolls. If you’re just passing through town or a local, you can’t go wrong training here.

I've been training under Thomas at Ground Zero for nearly four years and I can't say enough about him and our environment! Thomas is a wonderful coach on the mats and during competitions. Ground Zero also has great brown and purple belts who are always ready to help and teach. Challenge your limits, get a great workout in, learn how to fight, strengthen your mind. Come check us out and try it for yourself!

What a great place to train. Thomas and all of the people I train with are awesome. Everyone is very welcoming and the more advanced persons are eager and willing to help. Training has boosted my confidence, and given me real world skills. I've acquired skills beyond self-defense, like problem solving, thinking on the fly, and the confidence that I can endure and conquer difficult situations.
