  Edit to add; my last review needed an update. They’ve been so accommodating for both my kids, they have such a clean space and have a great set of coaches keen on training. 👌🏽 Thank you! ** This is a perfect place for learning martial arts; my kids both were able to earn a stripe in Brazilian jiu-jitsu classes and have learnt so much in the time they’ve went. The teachers and coaches are great and very communicative. The parking is free and there is a big lot. Seating is benches against the wall for viewing/waiting or you can get cozy on the floor if you don’t want to stand. It’s a big open space, great lighting and easy to see throughout. Their website makes everything pretty easy to navigate and check class information. Finding a trial helped set us up.

  Love the kids jiu jitsu program! The coaches are awesome —patient, supportive, and amazing at connecting with the kids while still teaching discipline and respect. They strike the perfect balance between fun and structure, which keeps the kids engaged and excited to come back every class. If you’re considering jiu jitsu for your child, this is a fantastic place to start.

  Our family adores TJ and Alex, and all the coaches who take such great care and have enormous patience with our toddler. She loves jujitsu and it's the best for her confidence, listening, discipline and trying hard things and succeeding. We could not speak more highly of Grant's Martial Arts Academy. Send your kids over for a trial and they will be hooked.

  We did the trial program last week, and Alex welcomed my son, Shaun, as soon as we got there! I was a little worried because my son can sometimes be shy when joining a new program, but he jumped right in! Today was his first official class, and it was amazing. The instructors are very hands on and know each child by name. They make learning fun, and my son had such a great time. As a parent, it's really nice to see him building confidence, discipline, and focus whille also having fun and staying active. The little positive comments and encouragement from the instructors really boost his confidence! We're excited to continue his BJJ iourney.

  Grant’s Martial Arts is an outstanding academy for both adults and kids. The coaching is top notch, with T.J., Alex, and the team creating an environment that is welcoming, professional, and high level at the same time. Whether you’re brand new or experienced, they make everyone feel comfortable while still helping you improve. My family and I have had a great experience here. The kids programs are excellent for building confidence, discipline, and skills, and the adult classes are challenging, technical, and fun. The culture in the gym is what really sets it apart - respectful, positive, and supportive. If you’re looking for the best place in the HRM area to train Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and/or Muay Thai I highly recommend Grant’s Martial Arts.
