All the professors are amazing and every class is amazing as well, Take advantage of having the best here in Salt Lake City.
I have been so impressed with the Gracie Bully proof program. I’ve see my son come out of his shell and build confidence I’ve never seen before. Logan is absolutely incredible with the kids making every child feel seen, respected, and supported. He also makes it fun, where they look forward to each class. Highly recommend this program!
Sensei Ryan Mitchell is the nicest Gracie Jiujitsu Instructor in Salt Lake City-UT! You're very welcome to discover why Gracie Jiujitsu is so effective self-defense in the streets. Logan is the kid's favorite instructor, a very nice young instructor with a great knowledge and patience to developed future generation of good citizens and champions .
I love this place - Logan and Ryan are amazing instructors who make every class safe, respectful, inclusive, and incredibly challenging! The vibe is awesome. Highly recommend for anyone.
This is an awesome place for anyone looking to get into Jiu-Jitsu. All the instructors are passionate about the practice and take a genuine interest in the success and safety of the students. I really like the way their Gracie Combatatives program is set up, allowing you to get a feel for the moves before you fully apply them. It's a great place to learn self-defense and make a few friends along the way. Also, Ryan is awesome! Super helpful guy, and really looks out for everyone.
Coach Logan, with the kids Bullyproof program, is incredible. He is so good with kids and always shows up with positive energy, truly an impressive coach. And the classes are a good mix of fun and learning.
Great technique-oriented school. Coach Ryan is hilarious and everyone is very helpful. I was in town visiting and Ryan helped me contextualize the moves we learned against the style of my school back home. Very thoughtful and impressive group. Would definitely go back!
Fantastic school, a great place to learn jiu jitsu in a non intimidating environment with excellent and patient teachers. The system is very organized and has a syllabus, so you know what you will be learning ahead of time. Highly recommend
Hands down the best Jiu Jitsu school around.
Google in all of its supremacy and infinite capabilities with the internet in all of it's incarnations does not have enough room on it for me to type all of the wonderful things about this place. If you are looking for a chill and knowledgeable place to begin or continue your martial arts education, search no further. Ryan and the other instructors at GJJ SLC not only provide good tutelage, but they get it form the source itself with ongoing seminars from the Gracie family themselves and then provide it to the people of SLC with professionalism, effectiveness and honestly a kindness that is rare to find and incredibly important to hold onto. These guys are the real deal. Learn what it means to live unafraid with the lessons they'll give you, at a competitive price, and allow yourself to become a better person through the mastery of the art form they can teach you. Do it. You will not be sorry.
They've done a good job of creating a good community and a safe, welcoming environment for learning. The instructors are professional, and the gym is very clean and organized.
Amazing place, amazing people and amazing teaching! I love being there, it really feels like a big family. Training mates and professors are always trying to help the students so are the staff. They focus on the individuals as much as they can so we all can reach a great group work! The gym is very organized and clean! Very technical classes, good sweating and workout. Very qualified and experienced professors, you gotta come to learn their history! Love this place, is definitely the place to run for during hard times! Thank you graciebarra family!
The instructors have been really awesome, they answered all my questions before i signed my son up for the Jr. Grapplers class. My son has been attending for a month now and loves coming to the classes. The warm ups are easy for the kids and the instruction they receive is easy to follow. I'll be recommending this to all my friends with little ones.
The instructors clearly explained how to practice my moves and I will definitely come back the next time I am in Salt Lake Coty
These guys are amazing high quality knowledgeable teachers and incredible with kids! The most family friendly environment we really miss you guys and want to come back soon!
Awesome Jiu Jitsu training! I trained in the women's 2.0 morning class and it was amazing:) Next I trained in the Gracie Combatives class and it was great. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The owner, Ryan Mitchell is an incredible instructor and I highly recommend this school.
Gracie Jiu Jitsu Salt Lake is a really good place to learn Jiu jitsu. All the instructors are really positive and make jiu jitsu fun to learn there.
Safe, effective way of learning Jiu Jitsu.
I am in town for the week and had emailed Ryan to see if they welcomed drop-ins. I have only been studying BJJ for a year, and not at a Gracie affiliate. Ryan was super welcoming and low-key. He took the time to introduce me to the Gracie process and made sure I was part of the class. I really appreciated his approach and attitude towards jiu jitsu and drop-ins!
Extremely patient instructors and a clear path for progression, very thankful to have somewhere that teaches jiu jitsu for self defense specifically rather than sport.
Extremely patient, very clear about how their program works and what to expect. They make you feel like family!
The Gracie University system is the way to go. Did a Gracie Combatives class. Aiden teaches solid technique.
Great environment for someone like me who's looking to learn something new in their life.
Really do not recommend. Unfair treatment of children and public “punishment”
These people do not support neurodiversity. They kicked my child out because she was not as strong could not do the jujitsu as well as the other students. Additionally, my son was the first child in The younger kids to get his yellow white belt. Which sadly I took the bust to get there and the belt was left on the bus. The owner does not have conflict resolution skills . I had to call California to find out how the belt could be replaced . Then the owner, Ryan, still would not help. There is a school called Gracie Barra. That school can deal with neurodiversity and has good conflict resolution skills. If you are merely looking for babysitters go here. But if you want skill taught go to Gracie Barra school where regular meetings are held with actual black belts.
