Almost all of Utah's BJJ tournaments take place in Salt Lake City, with occasional events in Sandy, Layton, Bountiful and Cedar City.
Grappling Industries Salt Lake City is the most frequent event, returning several times a year with round-robin brackets. United Grappling holds regular Salt Lake City events, and The Pit Challenge runs a series of local tournaments. Tap Cancer Out charity events have also been held in the state.
Utah events are notably family-friendly: two thirds offer both Gi and No-Gi, and over 40% run kids divisions. October, April and January are the busiest months.
