  This is the best Jiu Jitsu school ever! The school is very welcoming. As a new student, you do not feel like fresh meat that will be thrown to the most experienced students for them to smash you. It is safe environment, family oriented, and fun. Brock and Julie (the owners) are the best! 100% recommended for kids and adults.

  Academy is beautiful, large mat space, large hangout area, structured curriculum and great/ professional instruction, really clean and safe environment for adults (men and women) and kids to train. If you're looking to start or continue your jiu-jitsu journey, GJJ Frederick is the place!

  Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Frederick location is absolutely amazing! Brock and Julie are dedicated coaches, they are committed to their students whether they are younger or older. They are kind, friendly and knowledgeable which makes the classes even more engaging and fun. I have truly enjoyed their new program Women Empowerment, it has become the highlight of my week. Julie is so committed to empower all the women that attend the class, she makes us feel secure and confident of ourselves. More than teaching Jiu Jitsu they build community, friendship, safety and partnership.

  My son and I have been training here for a couple of months and we absolutely love it. We tried out a couple of other Jiu-Jitsu gyms in the area before coming here, but they just didn’t compare. Coach Brock and his staff are amazing, and they do an incredible job working with children of all ages. They have created a welcoming environment for individuals of all skill levels. Whether you are considering taking your first step into the world of Jiu-Jitsu, or you are looking for a place to continue your Jiu-Jitsu journey, I highly recommend GJJ Frederick!

  The staff and those who run Gracie are great. Communication from initial outreach to actual first day of class was great. Questions were answered, and my 3 year old loves the instructors. Glad to be a new member of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Frederick family.

  My daughter tried jiu-jitsu at another location and was very uncomfortable and overwhelmed. We decided to give this gym a try because they have a generous trial period. It was a radically different experience! Coach Brock spent a great amount of time with her, explaining things and ensuring she was welcomed and comfortable. I like the way their program is structured with 26 lessons and they have a great system for tracking your progress. To top it all off, it's very affordable. Looking forward to coming here for years to come.

  Just attended the grand opening of this location and the matts are already filled! Still plenty of room for new students though, so signup today. Had a great time rolling with the lead instructors (blue and purple belt) who challenged me the perfect amount to learn the moves and break a sweet! And the kids love it. Looking forward to training here for many more years!
