After a brief and pleasantly friendly exchange w Professora Jasmin, i Had the opportunity this morning to train at Pace Gracie Ju Jitsu. I’m in town visiting family and looked for the closest training facility near me. 1st and it happened to be a gem. I was welcomed by everyone at Pace Gracie and the instruction from Prof Victor was top tier. Healthy, clean facility. I worked w Austin the majority of the class. Welcomed by Joe, Nathan and James.All tough characters w great sportsmanship.. Great energy in that place. Salute! I’ll definitely come back when in town. Thank you everyone at PGJJ.

This gym was fantastic to visit. Dropped in for open mat while on a road trip and it was very friendly and inviting and had a very skilled training room. Coach Alcantar showed some great techniques and gave me a great round. As a black belt myself I travel often and always bring my gi in the hopes that I will find great places like this to train while on vacation. I lucked out in finding this great academy and plan to stop by again on my way back through. If you want a skilled academy with a warm and friendly atmosphere this is your place!

I absolutely love and swear by this place and it's experienced team. From day one we were welcomed and immediately made part of the family. I put my son in Jiu-jitsu because he was having behavioral issues. Sense starting he's behavior has improved tremendously, he's much more motivated and thinks before he acts and he even made AB honor roll. His instructors are all amazing as well as the rest of the staff and this has been one of the best decisions I've made for him.

I can't thank enough what Marcello & Rodney did for me. I wasn't interested in Jiu-jitsu; however, after talking to Marcello he finally convinced me to try one class. That one class changed my life, I am now 3 years into Jiu-jitsu. I feel more energetic, my muscle mass has grown, my health has improved, and more importantly I found friends at the gym. I needed this, I was always getting burnout weightlifting but Jiu-jitsu keeps it exciting because there are so many techniques to learn from every day. It's also reassuring to learn self-defense to protect your family. It's a responsibility we owe to our family. Thank you for changing my life!

Our five year old daughter has been a student here for two months. In the beginning she was so shy. They were very patient with her. We are so proud of her. The changes that she's made since she has started is amazing. Her overall behavior is much improved. Most times it just takes a gentle reminder about lessons she's learned there or if her professors would think what she was doing was ok.

The Alcantar's (owners) are very personable and down to earth. The early morning class instructor, Ryan, is skilled and knowledgeable and easily imparts his wisdom - IN the 6 months I've been attending, I have learned a lot and made very clear improvements. MY advise to any beginner is to measure success, not by how often you submit others (because you likely will not submit anyone at first), but by marking victory by successfully landing a move you learned in class during a roll. Classes typically begins with a warmup and a small block of instruction which you will practice with a partner without any resistance, and the the class typically concludes will a roll (wrestling/sparring). The light partner work-throughs help understand the movement(s) of the day. It's through the resistance of the roll that your moves and form become tempered and refined. I wish I had been able to start 20 years ago. Bring some humility, an eagerness to learn, and the grit to stick it out and you will have success. Highly recommend this academy.

Our 9 year old son has been a member about 3 weeks and he LOVES it! It’s a great training facility that offers Jiu-Jitsu as well as wrestling. Our son has done both in the past, but seems more motivated than ever at Pace Gracie! Marcello and Jasmin are fantastic at making new people feel welcome and included, our son fit in immediately. Pace Gracie is somewhere you want your child to be. This year of Corona found me looking at myself in the mirror and realizing that I needed a change. I will be 46 in December, I am overweight, and I have kids that I want to see grown and married. I started training here about a month ago, fearful of injury, fearful of failure, and fearful of how others would view me trying to work through the techniques. Professor Marcello and Professor Jackson, as well as all the purple, blue, and multi stripe white belts are amazing. The training here is amazing and everyone feels more like a friend or family member than an instructor at a martial arts gym. I have been here a month and I feel so much more healthy and my body has begun to change for the better. Additionally, they have a FANTASTIC kids program and my triplet girls LOVE learning jiu jitsu and rolling with their new friends. Coach Jasmin is amazing and my wife has now started the journey with me. We as a family have found an extended family where we will learn to defend ourselves and get healthy in the process. The new building is absolutely amazing and the atmosphere is extremely positive and supporting. Thank you Pace GJJ for this amazing experience. I expect I'll attend for the rest of my life. We cannot recommend this place enough!

I came to Pace Gracie BJJ Academy and did not know anyone. Within a few minutes, I had been welcomed and had met several great people. Everyone there is there to help you become better for whatever personal goals you have set for yourself. What really sets Pace BJJ apart is the atmosphere. At other academies it can become cliquey and you almost feel like an outsider. That was never a problem here. In fact, they take the time to get to know you and always ask how you're doing. I can't say enough good things about this gym. This has the best atmosphere for anyone looking to learn or continue to practice. Lastly, the instructors really know what they are doing and really preach technique. When it comes time to rolling or open mat, again it is there to make you better. This place is awesome. If you want to learn or practice BJJ in the Pace/Milton area, this is the place to go.

Wonderful, family ran facility. We enrolled our six-year-old daughter & from her very first day she has loved it. She is by far the smallest student there but that does not stop her. The professor and the students work very well with her and she has a desire to learn. The professor is terrific. Pace is a clean, safe, and family-friendly environment serving both newcomers and experienced grapplers. Marcello Alcantar is a technical, yet fluid black belt who excels at teaching as well as doing. He is a patient instructor who likes to convey the overall technique and then refine the details. I found this a much easier system to follow than that of other instructors who teach a dozen details and then expect the student to put it all together.Pace is a place where the students are treated like family, and you don’t have to worry that you will get injured and be unable to go to work in the morning. Safety is paramount, and always comes first. I give my highest recommendation to to anyone looking for a quality academy in or around Pensacola.

My daughter just started classes here and I love the teaching style. She tends to be nervous about making contact with people but the instructors hands on style and the friendly environment put her at ease so she can focus on learning. As a retired Marine, I have very high expectations out of a school that I will be paying for. When I started looking for a jiu jitsu class for my kids and myself, I visited several of the schools in the greater Pensacola area all the way east to the Navarre area. I had only visited a few schools when we visited Pace Gracie Jiu Jitsu Academy. Professor Marcello and his wife Jasmine blew me away with their family approach to life and training. As I am recovering from a shoulder surgery, I am unable to train right now, but watching Professor Marcello with this kids was awesome. Not only does he teach them how to defend themselves, but he sits them down and teaches them life lessons as well. He demands that each person treats everyone else with dignity and respect. I love that out of a coach, teacher, professor. Kudos to you guys Professor Marcello! You have found life long friends and students in this family!

I started coming to Pace GJJ in January. Kind of a "New Year" thing. I've fallen in love. I've never been involved with a martial art so I was nervous coming the first time. I was expecting a Cobra Kai kind of mentality but it could not be farther from the truth with Pace GJJ. While what we are learning is very serious, it is such a family atmosphere. Everyone that I have rolled with is all about growing as a unit. No selfish mentalities to be found. Professor Marcello has such a heart for training and teaching proper technique as well as mindset. My 9yo son attends classes here and they are absolutely amazing in every way. They welcome you like family. I have seen a dramatic change in my sons ability to focus and not give up. They are very encouraging and disciplined in the best ways that both children and adults need. There are so many good things I can say. Professor Marcello is fun and energetic and keeps your attention. Mrs. Jasmine is just amazing and so sweet and they are both extremely talented. Pace Gracie jiu-jitsu is becoming a staple in this wonderful Community.

Professor Marcello and Ms Jasmin make this an excellent place for your family to learn and thrive in Jiu Jitsu no matter your age or skill level. Pace Gracie Jiu Jitsu has to be the number one attraction in Pace Florida. I am a black belt and owner of my own academy and Professor Marcello is not only one of my friends but one of my professors. Pace JJ is an example of real Gracie Jiu Jitsu and an amazing family oriented academy. Professor Marcello and his staff are amazing with kids and really gets the most out of them. Yoga with Jasmin is a must. If you are looking for a great safe place to learn self defense, Pace Gracie Jitsu is the Place!

What a great place full of great people! I live and train in Austin Texas and was in Pace visiting family over the holidays. While there I stopped in to train with Professor Marcello's team. They were genuinely nice and welcoming while at the same time demonstrating high caliber martial arts skills! I had a great workout and will definitely be back the next time I'm in town! I was in town visiting a friend who trains here and he brought me along. I've never done Jiu Jitsu before but Marcello welcomed me in as did all those who I met there during my two sessions. Very friendly atmosphere and everyone seemed to work well and help each other with every drill we did. I never thought I'd get into this but after training here, I'll be looking for a gym when I return to Vegas! Thanks again for allowing me to participate!

I have been attending this academy since May 2018 and have not been disappointed. The professor is very knowledgeable and teaches classes himself. He is excellent with the adult and children classes. I came fro an academy from Ohio and it feels like home. Very family friendly and welcoming to everyone. The students are very welcoming as well.

My son and I attend Gracie Jui Jitsu classes and have each enjoyed our experiences. Staying in the Ft Walton area for 4 weeks. Decided to take a drive up to Pace on a Saturday to check out the vibe of the place. The drive was well worth it. The instructor (Marcello) & his wife (Jasmin) were so welcoming & friendly. They lent me a gi so that I could join that day’s training session. Students were friendly as well and they made me feel so comfortable in my new training environment. The training was excellent. Highly recommend this place.

Last night I conducted a judo seminar at Pace Gracie BJJ academy during a visit from Japan to Pace, Florida. Marcello's academy is a outstanding facility with the right attitude. Members very welcoming and train very seriously. The atmosphere created by Marcelo is very positive. Also, the kids program is awesome. It is well organized and supervised . Facilities are super clean as well. This academy is family friendly atmosphere with egos checked at the door.
