Martial ArtsClasses for kids and adults, makes The Martial Arts Zone the best choice in Manchester!
I absolutely love The Martial Arts Zone! The teachers are the best. Everyone is so friendly and dedicated to learning and having the best time. The most amazing community of people! They have helped me so much on my journey. I have lost almost 40 pounds and have gained so much confidence and experience. Thank you Chris and Susan!
Posted 6 months agoMy husband and I joined their Fitness Kickboxing program six months ago. Best. Decision. Ever. It's a fun, encouraging community for all ages and abilities. The owners put their hearts and souls into what they do, and that passion is contagious. These classes have strengthened our bodies, minds, and even our marriage! We look forward to our "date nights" and getting fit together. Check them out!
Posted 6 months agoI signed up for Jiu-Jitsu here a few months ago and it has proven to be a great decision. The Martial Arts Zone is a perfect school for beginners and experienced practitioners alike. Very respectful atmosphere and many decades of combined knowledge. This is not a gym where beginners just get beaten up. Professor Chris and his team of coaches are committed to teaching and setting up new students for success in their journey. My conditioning has greatly improved, and I feel more prepared with the self-defense skills I have learned so far. I highly recommend.
Posted 1 year agoEverything about the martial arts Zone feels like family. Very inviting atmosphere, everybody here is extremely humble, definitely a no Cockiness Zone. Definitely a place where everybody is lighthearted and has a sense of humor. It doesn't matter if they are a black belt Brown, purple, or blue, everyone here is very friendly. This is a place where you will learn real self-defense. Chris is always very mindful of an attacker having a weapon or a knife and he provides simple, and sometimes technical moves to seriously defend yourself in real life situations. Unlike a lot of other martial arts schools, Chris and the higher up belts will always personally walk up to you and guide you step by step on how to do certain moves. One of the best schools hands down for learning important life-saving techniques by building muscle memory, and having teachers who will and embed attention to detail inside of you to the point where it's second nature. The moves and techniques learned here never feel boring mundane or meaningless. Everything taught here is literally for an important reason even if it seems silly, and it's always backed up by a real life story as to why the certain moves has certain attributes. And to top it off, there are not a lot of martial arts teachers here who have learned directly from somebody in the Gracie family. So learn from this school while you still can, while Chris is still young and the bloodline is still close! You may not have another opportunity to learn from somebody so close to the roots.
Posted 1 year agoI was already on my kickboxing journey when I needed to pivot and find a new dojo. That can be tough. I loved where I was going and I loved training with a community of people I had become so comfortable with. Fortunately, my husband was already a member at the Martial Art Zone where he was training under Chris. I was welcomed with open arms and realized what a special place this is. So now this is our family dojo. My 8 year old daughter is part of the Junior Warriors for Jiu-jitsu and thriving under their direction and training. She is taught discipline, respect for herself, her training partner and above all her parents. So whether you are just starting out or looking for a new community to step into the Martial Art Zone is a great place to come. All are welcome and their doors are always open.
