The head coach Nate LaMotte is an unprofessional bully. He constantly shows up late to classes if he even shows up at all. I would leave zero stars if I could, and there are much better places in the area. And no, the criticism is not unfounded. I've personally witnessed it multiple times.
Posted 6 months agoI started my training journey in this gym, and I couldn't be happier. I walked in to learn some basic kick boxing for a trip I planned with a cousin. I was greeted by the head coach and owner, Nate Lamotte, who spoke to me about the programs available. Coach Nate is insanely knowledgeable and a highly professional instructor with many professional fights. He leads this VERY CLEAN and GREAT gym WITHOUT the cult like atmosphere you see in other gyms. This place makes you feel very comfortable and welcome for all skill levels. No egos from anyone here. It's also very obvious that he takes great pride in who he employs to represent him and his company. His team of assistant coaches are very knowledgeable and very patient, making sure that you understand what you're learning in a safe manner. I joined for Kickboxing, and now I train Jiu-jitsu, Grappling, and Muay Thai when I can. They even have me doing my first BJJ competition after only a few month. Before I forget, I have lost 15 lbs by simply showing up. You can't put a price on your health. This is easily the most effective way to get into shape, trim your waist, and increase your cardio. And I can't thank them enough. Do yourself a favor, walk in, and speak to any of the coaches, take the free trial. I promise you won't regret it. Don't get discouraged if it feels tough the first week. Keep coming, and the pieces all fall into place.
Posted 1 year agoVery laid back and welcoming here. The coaches here are great. You can tell they enjoy teaching others and want to see you progress. Very patient and helpful during the drills and training. This type of flow runs through the gym. Nate (The owner) allows you to take your kids with you which is very convenient for me as a parent. My daughter looks forward to going every week. He's always engaging and playful with the kids there. Just an over all great atmosphere.
Posted 1 year agoAmazing place! Everyone is so welcoming! Most knowledgable instructors, and IBJJF certified! That lets me know I’m getting the best from qualified professionals.
Posted 10 months agoWouldn’t want to go anywhere else for my BJJ training. I’ve been a member off and on for 8 years. My whole family loves this place. You’re treated like family, you learn the ins and outs of the mma world. Every one, especially women should learn BJJ and more importantly they should learn from here!
