I love training at Gracie Durham! All the instructors have been very welcoming and eager to share their passions. There is a great atmosphere and it's been super easy to embrace Jiu Jitsu as a beginner. Sunny created a very warm and safe environment. My 7 year old son started shortly after me. We now share the same passion for Jiu Jitsu and love to go to the gym together!

After attending the school for about two months now i could not be happier with the instructors and the curriculum! They are all very knowledgeable kind and caring, moving at a pace that all can enjoy and learn from! Gracie Jiu-jitsu Durham!! Highly recommend!!

Both my son and I train here. It is an excellent place to learn with great people. The kid's program has been a positive experience for my son. I joined the adult class because of his interest and have been extremely happy with the decision. I have found the class a respectful and safe place to learn and grow while learning Jiu Jitsu. It's been a lot of fun.

We love having our 7 year old attend classes here. Sunny and all of the other instructors are great! Fitness and a workout for the mind. Highly recommend. UPDATE: we took our child out of here as quickly as possible when they change their whole business model to cater to police officers, and it seems proud boy members with don’t tread on me tattoos on their hands. Meat heads and cops talk your ear off while waiting to take their kids home. Not a safe space for women, children or anyone in the LGBTQ community.

Gracie Durham is an absolutely fantastic place to learn and train. I've been training here since late 2021 and can't say enough positive things about Sunny, the other instructors, and the other people I've met at Gracie Durham. If you are looking for a collegial, supportive environment to start or continue your journey with BJJ, you couldn't do better. There is something for everyone: kids and adults, women and men, experienced martial artists and never-evers. Highly recommend checking it out.
