  GB Westlake is an outstanding BJJ school. Very friendly welcoming environment, outstanding kids program, everything you could ask for from a school. Coach Paul is a very effective instructor and coach and so are the rest of the professors here. Definitely come in for a trial class wether you’ve never trained before or if you already have some experience, you won’t be disappointed. The mats are always clean and well maintained. I’ve trained at Gracie Barras now for over 11 years and GB Westlake is a great example of everything this team is about. Quality instruction, competitive training, and a family environment. You won’t find any massive egos here, just people who want to up their game and help each other improve.

  I can't say enough good things about this place! From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed, supported, and inspired. The instructors are world-class, not only in skill, but in how they connect with both kids and adults. They’re patient, encouraging, and know how to bring out the best in every student, no matter the age or experience level. For kids, the classes are structured, fun, and packed with lessons in discipline, respect, and confidence. My 2 kids have grown tremendously not just in technique, but in mindset and self-esteem. They actually look forward to every class! As for the adult classes, they’re equally amazing. Whether you're a total beginner or someone with experience, you’ll find an incredibly motivating environment here. The community is supportive, the training is top-notch, and you’ll leave every session feeling stronger, sharper, and more empowered. If you're looking for a place that feels like family, teaches real skills, and builds character on and off the mats, this is it. Highly, highly recommended!

  What a phenomenal jujitsu spot for the whole family! Paul is incredibly patient and fun, but challenges the kids to be their best selves too. And for me, I’ve learned SO much and have fallen in love with the sport in both the adult class and the women’s class. GB Westlake is the BEST spot around

  Gracie Barra Westlake is a fantastic jiu jitsu school. I’ve trained here for years and it’s one of the great schools in Central Texas. Instructors for both adult and kids’ classes are knowledgeable and effectively lead their students. It’s a great environment for everything you’re seeking in BJJ, whether that be fitness, discipline, and/or competition. I can’t recommend GB Westlake enough.

  My 7 year old daughter Sophie started with Coach Paul in November 2020 with very little confidence, no prior experience, and a lot of apprehension simply because she had never tried Juijitsu. Over the past 7 months I have seen my nervous Nelly become a beaming, empowered, confident, and strong little lady who is fearless and ready for a new challenge- not just in Juijitsu but daily life. Thank you Coach Paul and Michelle for giving her the confidence and wings to try new things and the will to NOT GIVE UP when something is hard💙. I’d give 10 stars if I could!
