I had a pretty awesome experience here. Coach Andrew, Professor Nathan and the team here made it very welcoming to start and make it easy to begin my Jiu Jitsu journey. I would recommend this over others any day.

Fantastic gym, welcoming staff and flexible classes. I was a little worried starting jiu jitsu as I am a shorter woman, but the professors are great about pairing up matches so you don’t get hurt.

My daughter (age 5) has been going here for almost a year and has had such a great time! The coaches are so patient with the kids and really help them develop focus and teamwork, and they make it all super fun. My kiddo has learned a lot, and her self-confidence has increased since coming here. They are building a community with the kids and their families, and it really shows. They're very welcoming and we highly recommend them to anyone interested in jiu jitsu.

Our child started attending at the age of 5. We saw so much growth in him since his enrollment. This is an excellent place that allows you to grow, develop discipline and love for the sport. Members are all so welcoming and respectful towards one another and that was refreshing to encounter. Additionally, the GB team is a family! ( I should add that It’s a family owned business. )They truly strive to give the attention and respect to each individual. They strive to work towards growth. Professor Nathan, Coach Andrew, Coach Mikey, Victoria, Coach Nathan, Coach Juliana and Evelyn are the BEST! I would continue to drop names but then I would never finish this post (lol). A+++ classes for young students 3 1/2 (potty trained) to adult. I will definitely be returning and def. Recommend this BJJ school.

I've been doing Jiu-jitsu for over 20 years and been to many gyms, and academies so I feel like know what its like to enter a welcoming environment, that is full of great people! The instructors have high quality instruction and very knowledgeable! The business is run by and wonderful family and I can't wait to visit again! Amazing place! The coaches are great, my daughter loves going there. Coach Andrew and the rest of the coaches are amazing with the kids and the techniques as well. My daughter learned self defense and each day is a new adventure. Best place to have your kids enrolled for self defense. The front desk lady Evelyn is super helpful as well. If you want the best experience, then Gracie Barra West Lancaster is the place to go.

Gracie Barra West Lancaster staff is very welcoming and structured. Evelyn is just great with communication their instructors are top tier👌They attend to my son’s needs and make sure he learns and understands the lessons starting from the basic. Honestly one of the best places to give you and your kids a major confidence boost! The coaches and staff truly make every individual feel important and heard. Even all the classmates who are higher ranked make sure to take the time and go over any technique you may be having trouble on. Hands down the only place I would recommend to learn awesome jujitsu!

My son has been going to this gym for many years. The coaches are some of the nicest people you'll ever come across. They are great with kids! It's been fun to watch my son's skills grow and have him gain confidence on the mat. They are also very family oriented and do many fun events throughout the year to build a strong sense of community with their athletes. Summer BBQ, Parent Night Out, Trunk or Treating, Movie days at the Gym, etc. It's really nice to have fun events to go to beyond the training days.

Where to start? My family has been @ Gracie Barra West Lancaster for 3 years now. We all train here as a family. There is not enough space here to express my satisfaction, but I will try. Let’s start with the atmosphere. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed like dearly loved family members. The owners and staff treated us with utmost respect and kindness. The culture here is that of brotherhood/sisterhood and a “family” atmosphere. Respect is upheld and love of others permeates throughout. It’s contagious here. Being here genuinely makes you a better person, both mentally and physically. The facility itself is always clean and welcoming. Mats are free of dirt and debris, cleaned often, I feel comfortable on them. Now for training & coaches. Well, let’s just say they are some of the most patient, kind and encouraging coaches and professors I’ve ever met. They take time to explain technique (even if they have to do it repeatedly for students like me) over and over again as to be sure their students are learning and growing. In jiujitsu you never loose, you either win or learn. Although winning is great, that’s not what they preach. They emphasize growth, development and a passionate love for the sport. It’s spread and taught in all the classes from the little champions classes all the way up through the Adults classes. Being a woman on the mats (and there aren’t many of us), I always feel respected and cared for. I do train with men, and I have never ever felt threatened or in danger. Challenged to work hard, yes, they don’t go easy on me. But, they also don’t try to hurt me. Again, respect for others is a major theme in the culture here. I would absolutely recommend looking in to training here. Once you start, you’ll never want to stop. My husband, kids and I genuinely love spending time here. We can’t get enough of Gracie Barra West Lancaster. It’s our happy place.

Gracie Barra West Lancaster has been an incredible experience for me. The positive environment and family-oriented atmosphere make it such a great place to train. The coaches are not only skilled and knowledgeable but also patient and encouraging. As a bigger guy, I struggle, but the hype and guidance I get on the mat, make me feel like I belong and I love that. One thing that I admire the most is, the coaches do so good of a job as teachers, that I've notice it transfers to the trainees. For example, I would feel bad teaming up with someone knowing I'd have to go alot slower and they would lose a day of training with someone who would give them a good session but they were such good sports about it and we're mini coaches themselves and our time that day became a good session for both of us! That comes from who they learned from, so kudos to all the teachers in this facility! Lastly, The sense of community and support from everyone here is unmatched. I’m truly proud to be part of this amazing jiu jitsu family. Highly recommend! Come by sometime 🤙🏻

I’ve been to many jiu jitsu schools from New York to California. I’ve never had such a loving, growing and caring school in my life. From the day I was greeted as I watched from the window and the professor walked outside with a smile and invited me in. I was intimidated at first to enter but with such a warm smile that confronted me… I couldn’t say no. The love and positivity that is shared in this special place is unmatched . Professor, I have family that lives in Lancaster and, are recommending them to your school. I just received my black belt under professors Ana Laura and Rafael Pinto. But as of the year I recently moved to Vegas from California and train at West Vegas. I know that they will be in goods hands at your school.

I've been training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu now for over 13 years so I am very picky about schools I would train at or allow my kids to train at. For any of you who are trying to get in shape, wanting to learn self defense or just wanting to start a new hobby, Gracie Barra West Lancaster is by far the best school to train at in the antelope valley. They focus on cultivating a family friendly environment so you can be assured that safety is their number one priority and nobody is trying to hurt you. Professor Nate really cares about his students and is one of the most detailed and technical instructors I know. Let me first say that I'm a single father and scheduling can be difficult at times to getting my kid to the class. So if my kid missed, she didn't get make-up classes. And when you sign their contract they don't tell you that if you want to cancel you have to do it 60 days prior to the last day, (read the small print and dont sign) So because school and homework was more important for my kid, I had to cancel. I have over 30 classes I could not attend and over $500 dollars I cannot get refunded for. I tried calling to cancel and they don't answer and when you do get ahold of them it's because you had to call multiple times. Horrible way to run a business and not a good way to get returning customers or have good word of mouth. I wanted to take my daughter back there but that will not be happening. If you want to get taken advantage of and have your hard earned money taken from you, this is the place for you. I highly do not recommend this this place.
