  My 3yr old boy really enjoys this club! All the coaches have been super supportive, kind and compassionate from day one. Jiu Jitsu doesn't only give my boy lots of fun from being physically active, but also teach him disciplines and respect. The super cute uniform definitely won my heart LOL! Allowing the kids to take their intiative to speak the creed every session in front of their group and lead the warm up is such a good way to develop their confidence and leadership. Tom has been a super nice host and coach. Sophia has been really sweet to us, too! My boy enjoys his practice and we enjoy watching him every single time :)

  My daughter has now been attending Gracie Barra Tooting for just over a month (12 sessions so far), and her passion for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu only grows stronger with each class. From the very first trial session she was hooked - and we haven’t looked back since. The monthly membership is excellent value - currently offering up to 4 sessions per week in her age stage (and I believe there is the possibility of even more on their already generous timetable, to come in the future). If you and your child can make it work, I cannot recommend enough making the most of it - the consistency and repetition have shown me just how much she is capable of learning, remembering, and applying in such a short time. I must emphasise that this is down to the outstanding teaching at Gracie Barra. The professors and coaches at the Tooting branch are simply excellent. As a parent, I sit in awe watching how carefully they break down techniques, how much care, attention and control they maintain with the children, and the balance of discipline and encouragement they bring to every class. As an educator myself, I watch the lessons intently and truly admire the clarity and quality of their delivery - it’s a masterclass in teaching! What makes Gracie Barra even more special is the atmosphere. The staff are warm, welcoming, and make you feel part of the community from the very start. It’s impossible not to notice the sense of belonging as students - children, teens, and adults alike - walk through the doors. There’s a real family spirit here, and it’s beautiful to witness and be part of. Gracie Barra has given my daughter not only the start of a wonderful journey in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, but also a community she is proud to belong to (also the most gorgeous pink Gi!) I feel proud and grateful too, for this aspect of her life - I see her thriving and having so much fun doing so too! Well done, Gracie Barra Tooting – you’re giving the community something truly special!

  A truly amazing place for young people! The coaches are friendly, professional, and really know how to inspire the kids. My son absolutely loves coming here and always looks forward to his next session. Highly recommended!

  My 5 year old has been attending for around 6 months. The progress he has made has been amazing. His patience, confidence to speak up and his movement growth has been impressive. All the coaches at Gracie Barra are fantastic. It’s a very welcoming and safe space. We so happy we found it and Harrison loves it.

  I can’t recommend Tooting Gracie Barra jujitsu club enough! My 3-year-old absolutely loves coming here, and from the very first class, we were made to feel so welcome. The coaches are incredibly friendly and approachable, creating a warm and positive atmosphere that makes both kids and parents feel at ease. What really stands out is how great they are with students of all ages. They know exactly how to engage and encourage the little ones, keeping the classes fun, active, and full of learning, while also giving older students the guidance and challenge they need to improve. The patience, care, and respect they show to every single student is truly impressive. It’s clear that this isn’t just about teaching jiu-jitsu techniques – it’s about building confidence, discipline, and a love for learning. We feel very lucky to have found such a welcoming community, and we’re excited to continue being part of it for years to come!
