We can’t recommend Gracie Barra enough! Our daughter struggles with shyness and the staff, other parents and children couldn’t have been more welcoming, encouraging and inclusive. In as little as a number of weeks we have seen a huge step change in her confidence, and both her (6yo) and her brother (4yo) love their lessons. There’s a real community feel and the facilities are great. The principles and skills taught are invaluable. Just can’t speak highly enough of it all!

Absolutely love training at Gracie Barra Roundhay Leeds! Been here over a year now, and I can honestly say it’s one of the best decisions I’ve made. The coaching is top notch, and the team is like a second family, whether on the mats, at socials, or in the group chat where everyone shares tips and advice. It’s a proper community, and I only wish I’d joined sooner. Loving every step of my journey and excited to keep progressing. If you’re thinking about it, just do it, you won’t regret it!

What a fantastic place! I’ve been a member here for a little over a year and really enjoy attending. It is good exercise but learning something new and challenging is good for the grey matter too. It’s a really supportive environment to learn in and all the couches and other students are really encouraging. Everyone looks out for each other on and off the mats creating a feeling of community that’s all too unusual in today’s world. It’s not cheap but considering the quality of the facility, the number of classes available and the use of the gym room, I think it’s good value for money.

My son has recently joined the Gracie Barra community and has enjoyed every session. At 3 yrs old I was worried that he would get distracted or lose interest but he is always so excited to get his kit on and get stuck in. He loves showing his family the moves he has learnt too. I have also seen a change in him personally - following instruction and the art of self discipline. I’m sure he will continue to have fun with the amazing coaches and his new friends! Would highly recommend to all interested in their children learning a new and important skill.

I have been training at GBRL for almost two years and I cannot recommend it highly enough. From day one the experience has been superb. The coaching, facilities and community are excellent. What has been built here is remarkable. It matters not if you have never done anything like this before or if you have trained in other martial arts for years, there is an enormous amount for you here and it is a great group of people to be around. If you are even a little curious, I suggest you come and see for yourself!
