This place is incredible. We started with my daughter training, then my wife, and now myself. Families that train together stay together. Professors Pedro, Hector & Victoria are incredible. This place has changed our lives and I am so happy we walked thru the door for the first time. Anyone on the fence of joining for themselves or their kids. DO IT. You won't regret it.

The Jiu-jitsu program at Gracie Barra Richmond is an amazing enriching program. My family of 5 has the privilege of training with Professors Pedro, Victoria and Hector. Under their guidance we have all grown mentally, physically and our Jiu-jitsu skills have been sharpened. Professors Hector, Victoria and Pedro are amazing with my children inspiring them to be their best while learning to protect themselves. The womens program is very special for me. These ladies are family. Under Professor Victoria and the other ladies in the program I have seen my physical stamina and self-defense skills grow immensely. We take care of each other on and off the jiu-jitsu mat. The GB Richmond program encourages self respect and respect for each other. Personal safety and the safety of others' is a top priority. We are grateful to GB Richmond.

I recently joined Gracie Barra, and it has been great experience so far! The staff and Jiu-Jitsu instructors are not only knowledgeable but also patient, professional, and genuinely kind. They go above and beyond to ensure students feel supported and confident. The other students I encountered were equally supportive and bring such a positive energy. The facility itself is spotless and well-maintained. I highly recommend this school to anyone looking to start their Jiu-Jitsu journey.

My daughter was in her gymnastics class when one of the other parents told us about Gracie Barra. He said his kids are doing gymnastics so they can do better in Jiu Jitsu. (What?! I know, I got confused too.) A month or two later, my two daughters, my husband and I are there at Gracie Barra wearing loaner Gi (it's the kimono outfit you wear like in Taekwondo or something), having the best time. Gracie Barra is very inclusive. You can participate in class with 0 martial arts background. I am greatly appreciative of the women's class as well. The group is very supportive of each other, working towards learning and sharpening each other's skills TOGETHER. Also, they don't care if you're a newbie. If you're there, you're part of the group. There are no cliques. If you want a fun workout with free girl friends, come to Gracie Barra Richmond! 💜
