My son and I had a great experience at GB last night and signed up for instruction. The entire place is professionally run and the professors of jui jitsu were inspiring. They did a fantastic job keeping the class in focus and fun. Highly recommend for all ages as this place is top notch.

Beyond the staff, the facilities, and the program which are tops in the area, it’s been a lifesaver for our precocious and very active 5 1/2 yo boy. The community of parents, students at various ages, ethnicities, and genders helps round out an already easy-to-give 5 star review. Bravo!

This is a top tier bjj school. You are getting the best jiu jitsu instruction directly from Ricardo Almeida's black belts. Professor John, professor Eduardo, professor Eli, professor Tim, professor Rob, coach Mike, coach Boris, and every student I met here training for two years are exceptionally technical, very friendly, and love what they do. If you live in the area and are looking for a school, stop looking because this is it. Come take a class and see for yourself. These guys are the best around. If your looking to get your kids signed up, do it! Sometimes I've stayed after adult class, just to watch how professor John, coach Mike, and coach Boris teach the kids class. It's a masterclass of fun, engaging, clear instruction. It's not easy to teach kids and these guys do such a wonderful job. I'm so lucky to have these people in my life. Come hang out with us!

Had a great training experience at Gracie Barra of Newtown. Michelle was extremely helpful and assisted with setting up my free 2 week trial. The gym was welcoming and located in a safe area. The instructors were professional and highly skilled. If you’re looking to learn jiu jitsu and have a busy schedule I would recommend this bjj gym.

I’ve been training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu on and off for about 20 years, and I’ve been at Gracie Barra Newtown for over two years now. This gym is truly top-tier. Professor John, a black belt under world champion Ricardo Almeida, is one of the most technical, professional, and friendly instructors I’ve ever trained with. His attention to detail and ability to elevate every student’s game is unmatched. The atmosphere is incredible, welcoming, supportive, and genuinely family-oriented. From the moment you walk in, you feel like you belong.
